Features to know about

Built for Big Loads: 30,000 lbs GTW and 7,500 lbs TW

This hitch is built to handle serious towing jobs. With a gross towing weight of 30,000 lbs and a tongue weight of 7,500 lbs, it’s ready for heavy livestock trailers, equipment haulers, or large fifth-wheel conversions. The double-lock system uses two locking pins instead of one, giving you extra security and confidence that your trailer connection will stay tight and stable under load.

Get Your Bed Back Fast: Flip-Over 2-5/16" Chrome-Plated Ball

When you’re done towing, just pull the handle, flip the 2-5/16" chrome-plated ball upside down, and drop it back into the hitch for storage. The design keeps everything below the bed surface so you can use your full bed without anything in the way. A rubber cover plugs the ball hole to keep dirt and grime out, and the chrome ring around the ball opening gives it a clean, low-profile look when not in use.

Curt EZr Double Lock Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch installed in truck bed showing flip-over chrome hitch ball and underbed mounting system.

Simplified DIY Install: Center Locator Tool Makes Drilling Easy

Curt’s center locator tool takes the guesswork out of installation. It shows exactly where to drill the 4" hole in your truck bed and lets you know when you’ve drilled deep enough—orange shavings appear when you’ve hit the right depth. With no welding or bed removal required and clear indicators to guide drilling accuracy, one person can install this setup with confidence.

Curt Center Locator acting as trim shield during drilling of 4-inch gooseneck ball hole showing orange shavings indicating correct depth.

Smooth Operation and Secure Hookups: Comfort-Handle Release and Spring-Loaded Loops

The comfort-grip handle can be mounted on either side of the bed for easy access from the wheel well. It smoothly locks or releases the ball without binding. The built-in spring-loaded safety-chain loops are made from 5/8" thick steel and sit flush in the bed for quick hookups. The zinc-plated locking mechanism and carbide black powder coat protect against corrosion for long-term reliability.

Very good quality , I have had no issues since I purchased it.

by:

Easy install and very good customer ser vice

by:

Solid product, installation was fairly straight forward.

by:

Build quality was outstanding, this is one stout piece of equipment. Install was a bit challenging because I did it by myself, but if I had someone to help it would have been much easier. Overall, the install was not too bad, just give yourself about 4-5 hrs if you don't have help. I'm very happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend.

1 year later and about 15k miles of towing the gooseneck trailer flawlessly. I would definitely recommend this hitch!

by:

After receiving the parts that were missing from the original order, the hitch was finally installed today, it took more then the 3 hours the video implied,
I haven't pulled with it yet, but looking forward to it..
The company was very courteous, very helpful, shipped the missing part promptly.
I will do business with them again.

by:

Works as should except my handle on the ball broke to pull out of the bed when its hidden so i had to custom make a pull handle

by:

Fit great and easy to install. Took about Three hours to install with help inside the bed to hold center section up. The horses much prefer a ride in the trailer than walking twenty miles.

by:

Easy install..

This is the second curt ezr double lock that I've purchased, easy to install noproblems..

All I can say is WOW. In two days I received the Curt EZr Double Lock Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch with Installation Kit. I plan on using this Gooseneck with an Anderson 5th Wheel hitch. I haven't installed it yet but I do plan on installing very soon as we have purchased a 5th wheel Travel Trailer. As soon as it is installed, I will post some pics. Again, I cannot believe it arrived in two days.

by:

Easy install, although since this is a dual pin lock on the hitch ball, there's no alternative hitch balls available that can work with offsetting or using a different 5th wheel hitch, such as the B&W Companion.

by:

Overall easy ish install front cross member that is angle iron I had to beat in even with the box bolts loosened otherwise great product and hole drilling is super easy with supplied jig

by:

Easy to install. 64 years old and did it all by myself. So glad I went with this style. Have gooseneck and fifth wheel ability. When I want my full bed there’s no rails in the way. Pulling 13,000-14,000 lb fifth wheel camper. No problems.

Product is working great. Very pleased with my purchase and etrailer’s service.

by:

Overall pretty easy to assemble. The instructions are garbage. Hardest part is tightening up the bolts, basically 1 click at a time with a ratchet on a few bolts. The quality of the hitch seems good.

by:

Only the hith showed up. No installation kit.

by:

Everything was flawless from purchase to install.

by:

Excellent fit, install was about 3 hrs. Easy to follow instructions and customer service was a pleasure to deal with. Happy with my choice and would recommend this product.

by:

Accurate install directions, fantastic fit and operates perfectly for my 5th wheel RV

If you could send me a picture of the gooseneck hitch you have installed in your 2017 GMC Sierra 2500 then I would be able to make a more educated guess but based on your description you have the Curt Double Lock Gooseneck Hitch part # C607-604 and the correct adapter would indeed be part # C16210. Hello Robert, Removing the Reese M5 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch for Max Duty Underbed Mounting System # RP72VR would be a pain as it is heavy and there isn't a great way to disassemble it. There also isn't a way to mount this hitch in your 2015 Chevy Silverado 2500 as it fits the Max Duty system which is for Fords. That said, what you can do if you want to tow a 5th wheel is install a gooseneck hitch and then an adapter which works as a 5th wheel hitch. So what I'd do with your '15 Silverado...

Hello Kole, thanks for reaching out. The Curt X5 5th-Wheel Base Rail Adapter Plate # C16220 can work with other brands of gooseneck ball, but it all comes down to how your gooseneck ball attaches to the truck. The adapter plate will only work with a drop in gooseneck ball with a release handle near the wheel well. It will not work with the flip-over style gooseneck balls, or those with a latch built into the top of the ball. It must have a handle release in the wheel well area, like the...

Easiest way to tell which gooseneck hitch you have is by looking at the safety cable loops. Yes, if you had a truck with a gooseneck hitch installed you would be fine to haul mulch, junk for the dump, etc. in the bed when you are not towing.
