With the B&W Turnoverball underbed gooseneck trailer hitch you get the best of both worlds. When you go to tow, the Turnoverball creates a sturdy, dependable connection with your gooseneck trailer. And when you're done towing, you can stow the ball upside down in the hitch to get full bed access and a clean appearance.

Easy-to-Remove, Simple-to-Store Hitch Ball

The durable steel hitch ball included with the Turnoverball system secures in the hitch with a sturdy, 5/8" thick steel pin that is incorporated into the end of the operating handle. To lock the ball in place, drop it into the hitch hole in the bed of your truck. Then rotate the handle in your driver's-side wheel well counterclockwise until the latch engages. When the latch is engaged, the spring-loaded pin on the end of the handle will be inserted all the way through the base of the hitch ball, forming a strong, solid connection and ensuring absolute security when you're towing.

B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Hitch Operation

When you're done towing, remove the hitch ball by simply pulling the handle out as far as it will go and then rotating it clockwise until it unlatches. Remove the ball, flip it upside down, and drop it back into the ball hole of the hitch. Then reengage the latch to secure the stowed ball in place.

Unlike typical gooseneck balls - which have round bases - the Turnoverball hitch ball is designed with a square base. This makes latching the ball in the hitch easier because the base won't rotate inside of the hitch like a round base might, so lining the pin up is a snap. The base of the ball also fits tightly within the ball hole during storage. Because only the corners of the base contact the sides of the socket, any dirt or grime that gets into the hitch will fall through the socket, thus helping to prevent any buildup that could cause the ball to seize up in the hitch.

Simple, Custom Installation

This hitch is custom designed for your vehicle. The included mounting brackets bolt to existing holes in your truck's frame. While some modification is required - you will need to cut a 4" diameter hole in your bed for the hitch ball and drill holes for the built-in safety chain loops - there is no need to weld onto or to drill into your frame.

Once you have the hitch brackets and body installed, set up the operating handle. This handle is designed to be accessed from the rear driver's-side wheel well. On the end of the handle is the heavy-duty steel pin that secures the hitch ball.

B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Hitch Accessories

B&W makes it easy to tow just about anything. With the many adapters and accessories available, the Turnoverball can be made to work with almost any gooseneck trailer. Hitch balls are available that have a built-in rise, an offset, and even a different connection type. Add on the Companion fifth-wheel hitch - which attaches directly to the Turnoverball with no other parts required - and you can tow your fifth-wheel trailer.

  • Recommended Suspension Enhancement for 1999 Ford F-150 with B&W Gooseneck Hitch
I do have an option for you, however as you were finding out there is not a rear air bag kit available that will be compatible with frame brackets from a gooseneck hitch on your 1999 Ford F-150. Because of this your best option for rear suspension enhancement is with a jounce style spring that will replace the factory bump stop such as the excellent Timbren # TFR1525HD. These 6,000 pound capacity springs will do a great job of adding support to the truck's suspension while keeping everything...

  • Will B&W Gooseneck Hitch # BWGNRK1000 Fit Both 1997 And 2000 Chevrolet Truck With 8 Ft Bed
There are several scenarios that could apply for your 2 Chevrolet Trucks. For your 1997 with the 8 ft long bed, part # BWGNRK1000 is the gooseneck hitch that would work well. this applies if the truck is either 1/2 ton, 3/4 ton, or 1 ton. For the 2000 truck you have, there can be several different options. If it is the 3/4 ton or 1 ton and has the Old Body Style then part # BWGNRK1000 would be a fit. You can tell if you have the Old Body Style or New Body Style quite easily by the tail...

  • Recommended Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch For 2005 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 With 6-1/2 Ft Bed
The gooseneck hitch I recommend for your 2005 Silverado is the B&W Turnoverball, part # BWGNRK1059. This gooseneck kit includes a custom installation kit and when installed and with the ball removed, flipped over and installed in the ball opening gives you complete bed access when you are not towing. Another great feature is that if you ever decide to tow a fifth wheel trailer you can use the B&W Companion fifth wheel hitch like part # BWRVK3400-5W. If you need a 7-way trailer connector...

  • How to Choose the Correct 5th Wheel Hitch for a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Flareside
As long as the 4.5" lift you have on your 2001 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 is a suspension lift and not a body lift then you will not have a problem installing a 5th wheel hitch as far as the lift aspect goes. However, if there is a body lift on your truck then you will need to remove it in order to install a 5th wheel hitch as none of them will work with vehicles that have a body lift. The Curt EZr Double Lock Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch with Installation Kit part # C619-648 hitch ball opening will not line up with the B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Trailer Hitch hitch ball opening on your 2005 GMC Sierra. The hitch ball opening for the Curt EZr will sit further away from the end of the bed when compared to the B&W Turnoverball. Therefore, the best option for you would be to re-install the B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch part # BWGNRK1059 for 1500 models,...

  • Freeing Stuck Gooseneck Ball
It's really difficult to say without knowing the manufacturer and model of the hitch. Generally speaking, most of the time you can clear a stuck ball using spray lubricant, heat and shock. Sometimes all three. The brand/model of the hitch will dictate where you apply the 3 methods described above. If the hitch uses a pin to release it like the B&W # BWGNRK1059, the actuating handle will typically be located in the driver's side wheel well. Give the handle a pull and twist, and you should...

You are smart to check ahead of time on the compatibility of a rear axle air bag kit with an in-bed hitch such as the B&W Turnoverball Under-bed gooseneck # BWGNRK1059. Hey Ronnie, The best gooseneck hitch for your 2004 Chevy Silverado 1500 is the B&W Turnoverball # BWGNRK1059. There are a few different options that fit your truck, but the B&W is hands-down the best aftermarket option because you can completely remove the hitch ball or even store it upside down in the receiver, so you have a completely clean and clear truck bed when you need it. The B&W # BWRVK3500 Companion 5th wheel hitch won't work with the discontinued Curt C630-652 gooseneck hitch. The Curt hitch accepts a gooseneck ball with a round shank, while the Companion will only work in the B&W Turnover Ball gooseneck hitch which uses a gooseneck ball with a square shank. If you have a 2002 Sierra 1500 or 2500LD, you'd need # BWGNRK1059 Turnover Ball or # BWGNRK1067 for a 2500HD or 3500.
