Gooseneck Option For A 2013 Chevy 2500 Crew Cab With Utility Bed

Updated 02/03/2026 | Published 06/25/2024

Question:

I have a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD Crew Cab dually pickup truck with a 9 utility bed installed on it. I am looking to install a gooseneck ball in it. This vehicle is not an option when choosing a vehicle. Could you tell me which product/products would be a fit for my vehicle. When you find this could you provide dimensions for it so that I can check my ball height with the bed that is on the truck. Thank you, Shawn K

Hello Shawn, thanks for reaching out. For trucks with a utility bed, there are not going to be any custom fit bolt-on options for a gooseneck hitch. The best option will be to use the Curt Gooseneck Flat Plate # C65500. Keep in mind that this installation will need to be done by a professional welder/fabricator since you have the utility bed. The Curt Gooseneck Plate is 48" wide and 4-3/4" tall. The steel plate is 3/8" thick.

Hey Shawn, how did things work out with the Curt gooseneck flat plate on your Silverado with the utility bed? It’d be great to hear if the dimensions lined up the way you needed. Your update could make it easier for the next person setting up a similar truck.
