If you could send me a picture of the gooseneck hitch you have installed in your 2017 GMC Sierra 2500 then I would be able to make a more educated guess but based on your description you have the Curt Double Lock Gooseneck Hitch part # C607-604 and the correct adapter would indeed be part # C16210. However, if the gooseneck hitch was installed at the dealer then you would have had the Curt EZr Gooseneck Hitch part # C611-624 and the correct adapter would be part # C16220. I have attached a photo of both the Double Lock and EZr for you as well.

If you are also looking for a 5th wheel hitch to use with this adapter, I recommend using the Curt A20 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch part # C16541. This hitch has a 20,000 lb towing capacity and sliding feature to create clearance for sharp turns.

Thanks for the photos! You have the Curt Double Lock Gooseneck Hitch part # C607-604 therefore, the Curt X5 5th Wheel Base Rails Adapter part # C16210 would be the correct adapter for you.
