Note: This jack is designed to stabilize a portion of your trailer's weight, not to support the full GVWR of your trailer. Do not use this jack to lift your trailer or RV. Doing so will exceed the capacity of the jack.

If you are looking for a safe, durable, and dependable replacement jack for your trailer, this scissor jack is a safe bet. The mounting pattern and overall dimensions are industry standard, which means that it should easily bolt onto your trailer in place of your original jack and function seamlessly with your existing setup. And it is constructed from powder coated steel to ensure that it will resist rust and corrosion and hold up well to the elements.

Just finished installing. The bolt holes on trailer frame were not quite perfect for top of stabilizer but I managed to get them tight. Quality seems very nice. I've seen people at RV parks use cordless drill attachment to screw up/down stabilizers but product says warranty void if you do. I believe if you use drill to lower or raise and you get too tight the 26" screw will bend under the pressure. that's what happened to my old stabilizer I suspect by the previous owner. You can't repair these if bent. I would purchase again.

I may have over-bought. The old jack was rusty and damaged, so I measured the length of the screw. The new jack is the same size exactly, but MUCH heavier gauge metal. I had to drill out the existing holes to 5/16" to accommodate the self-tapping screws that came with the new jack. The new screws went in with no trouble. The new jack adds a couple pounds to my dry weight, but it is very sturdy. I don't expect that I will ever have to replace it. The paint/coating is very smooth and thick.

I bought this product to replace the original equipment electric LCI stabilizers that came on my 31ft travel trailer as they performed poorly from day one and eventually stopped working all together. I removed the existing stabilizers and installed all four of these in about an hour. I reused the existing holes and hardware. My camper has never been this solid. Couldn't be happier. This is not my first experience with etrailer. I have been buying from them for years. They are up front with availability, have great product knowledge and are very accommodating when I am not so thrilled with a product..........which is not the case with this one, I wish my camper came with these to begin with.

Ask the Experts about this Lippert Camper Jacks

  • What Is The Width Of Base On The Lippert Scissor Stabilizer Jack
Thank you for including your photo. I pulled the Lippert Scissor Stabilizer Jack - 24" Lift - 5,000 lbs # LC285325 from our warehouse and measured across (right over the Stabilizer Jack sticker pictured) and this jack provides the 2-1/4" of width you're looking for. The side surface is definitely flat however you can see from the image that the corners are rounded. Included is a helpful review video for additional information as well.

  • Will Lippert Stabilizer Jacks Fit 2015 Passport Ultralight
Yes, the Lippert Scissor Stabilizer Jack # LC285325 that you referenced will work great on your 2015 Passport UltraLight bunk house. These have 24 inches of height and have a capacity of 5,000 lbs per jack so with four of these your RV would be very stable!

  • Does Lippert Scissor Stabilizer Jack Have a Capacity at Different Heights
There is not a specific capacity for the Lippert Scissor Stabilizer Jack # LC285325 at 6 inches to 8 inches high; they simply have a 5,000 lb capacity per the manufacturer. I have added a link to a video review as well of the Lippert Scissor Stabilizer Jack # LC285325.

  • Mounting Bracket Dimensions For Lippert 24 Inch Stabilizer Scissor Jack
The mounting brackets for the scissor jacks we offer do vary. I went to the warehouse and took some measurements of the Lippert Components 24 inch Scissor Jack, part # LC285325. I have attached a photo of the mounting brackets with the dimensions shown. This scissor jack measures 4-5/16 inches tall when fully retracted and 28-5/16 inches when extended. The jack measures 26-13/16 inches long when retracted. I have attached a link to our product page for the scissor jacks we offer.

  • Can the Lippert Components 24 Install on Both Sides of Trailer
The scissor jack part # LC285325 that you referenced can be installed on the right or left hand side of a trailer. In other words they are ambidextrous. To raise the jack you would turn the handle clockwise, and to lower it counter-clockwise.

  • Will Drilling Be Required to Install Lippert Scissor Stabilizer Jacks
The Lippert Scissor Stabilizer Jacks # LC285325 mounting plate is designed to be a universal fit that will match most scissor jacks installed at the factory, but it's not necessarily always going to be a perfect match. Unfortunately there is not a mounting bracket available for these jacks and in the event that the holes don't match up to your existing holes you'll need to drill new holes in the trailer frame to match the stabilizers.

  • What is the Measurement of the Mounting Brackets and Mounting Bolt Space on the Lippert Scissor Jack
The inside of the mounting plates on the Lippert Scissor Stabilizer Jack - 24" Lift # LC285325 are 3-1/2 inches wide. As far as the circular mounting bolt spaces from center-to-center, that measurement is 1-1/4 inches. The bolts that you need for those holes need to be 5/16". I went ahead and attached a diagram that shows more dimensions. Note: the width of the plates are in the written description and not shown in the diagram. With that being said, we unfortunately do not carry any other...

As long as you are able to get the motor to fit the Lippert Scissor Stabilizer Jack # LC285325 I see no problems with doing that. • Can You Replace the Threaded Rod in the RV Scissor Jacks
There are no replacement parts for the trailer scissor jacks, if they are damaged such as the rod being bent then you will simply need to replace the jack for which we have the Lippert Scissor Stabilizer Jack part # LC285325 or part # LC285326 for the pair. The mounting pattern is pretty standard so they should be an easy bolt-on swap for most applications.

I have no way of looking up which stabilizer jacks were used on your Jay Flight travel trailer, as the RV manufacturers don't categorize that information in a way that's easily accessed, but the Lippert # LC285325 offers a high 5000 lb capacity and a maximum lift of 24 inches which fits most needs. While there is a stabilizer jack that extends 24 inches, there aren't any swing-down jacks like the # TJ01RT that have that amount of extension. What you can use is an option from Lippert: - Lippert Scissor Stabilizer Jack - 24" Lift # LC285325 This jack has a 5,000 lb capacity as well, which is a far better weight capacity for a 5th wheel trailer than the 650 lbs of the swing-down jack, which is more for smaller travel trailers.
