Initial reaction is that this is a great, high-quality product. Only took me 1-1/2 hours to install two (both on the door-side) that had been damaged. Would've been even faster but I needed to modify the bracket that bolts onto the frame for the rear stabilizer. BTW, the two stabilizers had to be replaced because, as a first-time trailer owner, the dealership never told me to NEVER USE YOUR STABILIZERS TO LEVEL YOUR TRAILER! I hope to save at least one other person the hassle and expense of having to replace your stabilizers because you didn't know any better--I know now and will never forget! At least the new stabilizers are higher quality and really weren't difficult to switch out.

Still as happy with the product today as I was the day I installed them.

by:

I am completely satisfied with these. Easy to install and much stronger that the original that came with the trailer.

My only issue is a different style of wrench is needed than my 3 originals so I need to carry two wrenches.

by:

These stabilizers are much better built that the ones that came on the trailer. The lift components are sturdy and the screw shaft is bigger diameter.

by:

Product came when it was suppose to was not difficult to put on the frame You must realize I am a 74 yr old woman and did this by myself. The shocks were for the front of my trailer.

by:

Broad range of products with good availability, very affordable pricing, quick delivery and excellent customer service. Thank you etrailer

by:

received 2 stabilizers. just what I needed. works perfect. 10 min. to install

by:

Got our RV out this past week and put the scissor jacks to work. I did not bolt the units to the undercarriage of our RV because it does not have significant ground clearance. Once parked, I placed them under our RV (24' Sprinter Class-C), and they worked great for some additional leveling and stability. Which stopped all rocking motion while moving around in the unit.

The scissor jacks still working great. I put a little white grease on the threads every now then just to keep them lubed.

by:

Stablelizers are well constructed, these will add good stability for RV.Also, thanks for quick delivery

My 2nd order from Etrailer. Great quality, great price points, and fast shipping!

by:

Exactly what I was looking for!

by:

Product arrived as promised, on time and in excellent condition. I am eighty years young and I have a tough time mounting my luggage rack to my Honda C RV trailer hitch receiver. Thus the need for the scissor stabilizer jacks. I mounted 1 each on the left and right side of the luggage rack, then with the ultra-fab stackable stabilizers, I use at the front under the rack tongue, the other under the back of the rack. Now, when I am ready to load or unload the rack I simply use my 14 volt drill motor with the ultra-fab speed socket power drill adapter to raise or lower the rack to the receiver height and just pull it off or push it into the receiver. Over-kill? Yes. But it serves my needs! The jack handle works great too, but that's work and I'm not used to it. All is well.

by:

As always this product from etrailer was as good as expected. I have a 2015 Jayco 1209 SC Tent Trailer and the jacks that came with it folded like paper when I went to stabilize the trailer (I did not attempt to use them for leveling). I ordered these from etrailer and they came quickly and were perfect. They self tapped onto the frame of the trailer easily and when I used them they leveled the trailer out and stabilized it with such ease.

I would also like to note that even though I can buy trailer products in Canada, when I really need something I need to be a sure thing I always go to etrailer and I am yet to be disappointed.

by:

Heavy duty product. Well made. Will be.a great addition to my travel trailer

by:

These have stabilized our trailer very nicely. We didn’t feel the need the install these they are freestanding.

by:

Better quality then the original, easy to change.

by:

We installed these jacks on an older travel trailer that had been using only jack stands for stabilizing. These were simple to install and operate flawlessly.

by:

Very pleased. I was replacing 2 stabilizing jacks on camper because feet on old ones rusted and I could not find just feet. Ended up getting 4 because of price and put order over free shipping threshold. Jacks arrived in a very timely manner. Put them on the day I received them. They work perfectly. Thanks. Dennis

by:

They work just as you would expect. Why not 5 stars? It has to do with the crank handle offset. It is too big. If the jack is completely collapsed then the crank offset hits the ground. You have to extend the jacks a far amount before the offset does not hit the ground while turning.

by:

We bought this "universal" set for our R-pod. We had to do a lot of retro-fitting to get them to work. They are probably too large for smaller trailers, but I think the quality is fine.

by:

great price shipping was fast
Thank
You

the jacks work much better

by:

Great product

by:

Fast Delivery. Just what I ordered. Can't wait to install on my travel trailer to stop the rocking. I always use etrailer. The service is always Great and personal. You guys really care. Thanks.

by:

Most excellent customer service!

by:

A good product. These jacks are a little over kill for my camper but the price was to good not to go with a heavier jack

by:

Easy to install and work great. A little grease on the screws but that's about it.

  • Dimensions of the Mounting Holes for the Scissor Stabilizer Jacks # TJSCHD-24
All of the elongated mounting holes of the Scissor Stabilizer Jacks # TJSCHD-24 measure 5/8" long x 3/8" wide. The circular mounting holes have a 5/16" diameter (see attached picture). These jacks have a 5,000 lb combined weight lift capacity. Please note that these jacks are designed to only help stabilize your trailer. They should never be used to lift your trailer. • Fit of TJSCHD-24 Stabilizer Jacks on 2016 Forest River Sunseeker 2450S Motorhome
The etrailer.com # TJSCHD-24 Scissor Stabilizer Jacks are a universal-fit item, so it should fit just about anything. The jacks would bolt to the underside of the frame members of your motorhome. When closed, the jack is 26 inches long, so if you can find a suitable mounting point on the underside of the trailer frame that's 13 or more inches inboard of the side of the motorhome, the jack will install without extending past the side of the motorhome. • Stabilizer Jacks For StarCraft Travel Trailer
For stabilizer jacks on your StarCraft travel trailer a great option is the Scissor Stabilizer Jacks # TJSCHD-24. These have a 5,000 lb capacity which is more than enough for your trailer, and have a max extended height of 23-3/4", so you do want to measure from the bottom of your frame to the ground to ensure that is the proper height.

  • Leveling Scissor Jack Recommendation for a 24 ft Class C RV
Considering the weight of your 24 fot Class C RV these Leveling Scissor Jacks, part # TJSCHD-24, should work very well for you. As far as the stability of these jacks, like you said, you will want to have the wheels blocked so that if the jacks are down the trailer will not be able to roll. And for side to side stability, as long as the terrain is within reason you should not have to worry about side to side stability. These jacks are pretty heavy duty and should provide you with enough...

  • Can Scissor Jacks Be Mounted Directly In Line With Trailer Frame Beam
The Scissor Stabilizer Jacks w/ Handle # TJSCHD-24 are typically mounted perpendicular to the beam but you can definitely still mount them inline with the beam. • How To Properly Measure For A Rise And Drop On A Trailer
The receiver on your trailer generally can't be adjusted, however the hitch can be adjusted. • What is the Difference Between a Stabilizing Scissor Jack and a Leveling Scissor Jack
There is no difference, that is just what the manufacturer decided to label it as. They both do the same job. Both Leveling Scissor Jacks, like part # JSC-24, and Stabilizing Scissor Jacks, like part # TJSCHD-24, are used to keep your RV level and stable. The only thing that you really need to keep an eye on is the weight capacity of each as these kinds of jacks are not meant to lift weight, just to hold it.
