  • Recommended Stabilizer Jacks for 2018 Forest River Shockwave Travel Trailer
It sounds like you are looking for stabilizer jacks for your 2018 Forest River Shockwave travel trailer. Landing gear is something you would typically find on a 5th wheel. If you are looking for some manual jacks for the rear then I recommend the Ultra-Fab Ultra Scissor Jacks # UF48-979002. If you're looking for electric stabilizers then I recommend the Lippert High-Speed Power Stabilizer Jack - White Switch Kit - 30" Lift # LC369774. This features legs that extend up to 30" for quick...

  • Recommended Flatbed Cargo Trailer Stabilizer Leg for Rear of Trailer
For your Sure Trac ST9614 HLODOD-B-140 trailer I recommend adding the Ultra-Fab Ultra Scissor Jacks - 24" Lift - 6,500 lbs - Qty 2 # UF48-979002. I believe these will work well to stabilize your trailer for loading. They can be adjusted using the hand crank or you can use the Ultra-Fab Speed Socket Power Drill Adapter for Scissor Jacks # UF48-979005 if you prefer. If you want more of a solid mount drop leg stabilizer that you would weld on, we have the Square Drop Leg Stabilizer Jack...

  • Best Recommended Scissor Jacks for 2017 Thor Vegas Class A Motorhome
The best scissor jack you can use on your 2017 Thor Vegas motorhome is the Ultra-Fab Power Twin II Electric Stabilizer for Trailers and RVs - 22" Lift - 6,000 lbs # UF39-941707. This will give you the electric motors on each side to assist with leveling as well. If you want the more standard scissor jacks, I recommend the Ultra-Fab Ultra Scissor Jacks # UF48-979002 which I also recommend the Ultra-Fab Speed Socket Power Drill Adapter # UF48-979005 for ease of function.

  • Difference Between Scissor Stabilizer Jacks for RV
A few of our scissor jacks have different weight capacities. For example, the part # UF48-979002 has a 6,500 lb capacity, the part # TJSC-24 has a 2,500 capacity and the # JSC-24-IND has a 5,000 lb capacity.

  • Manual Scissor Jack to Replace Electric Jacks on Springdale Summerland Series SM2450 by Keystone
We have scissor jacks like the Ultra Fab Jacks part # UF48-979002 that have 24 inches of lift and a 6,500 lb capacity. When you remove your old jacks and wiring basically you'll just have to start by removing the wiring near the jacks and switch and work your way back to where it connects to your RV's power source and then take it all out. Or if you want to leave the wiring in place you can disconnect it from the battery and then remove only what's easily accessible.

  • Recommended Replacement Scissor Jacks for a 2016 Jayco X17Z
Matt, I'd say yes # UF48-979002 would be a bit overkill. Plus, you only get two jacks in that kit and the other kit # TJSCHD-24-4 you get 4 which is going to stabilize your trailer better. The 10K capacity that # TJSCHD-24-4 has is going to be plenty in my opinion, especially since your trailer only weighs 3,500 lbs.

  • Recommended Scissor Stabilizer Jacks For A 2019 Grand Design Imagine 2250RK
Scissor jacks like the Ultra-Fab Ultra Scissor Jacks # UF48-979002 you were looking at are designed more for stabilization and less for leveling the trailer because they aren't really designed to hold the weight of the trailer off the ground. Even though you won't be fully lifting the trailer I still recommend getting close to the GVWR of your trailer. The GVWR listed for your 2019 Grand Design Imagine 2250RK is 6,995lbs so with four scissor jacks you could switch to a lower rated option...

  • Replacement Scissor Stabilizer Jacks For a 2018 Grand Design Imagine 2150RB Travel Trailer
The Ultra-Fab Ultra Scissor Jacks # UF48-979002 will replace the standard 24" jacks that come on your 2018 Grand Design Imagine 2150RB travel trailer. If you find that the jacks are constantly needing blocks to make up the additional height to the ground we also have the 30" Jacks # UF48-979031 that will help reduce the need for additional blocks.

  • Can Ultra-Fab Stabilizers Be Mounted to the A Part of an A-Frame Trailer
The Ultra-Fab Power Twin II Manual Stabilizer, # UF39-941704, and similar products would have to be mounted just back from the A-frame part of the frame. They are meant to provide support and not lift the trailer so you would not need this type of item on the A-frame. The regular trailer jack or even some scissor jacks # UF48-979002 if needed would be the way to go.

  • Can Ultra-Fab Ultra Scissor Jacks Be Used without Leveling Blocks
The # UF48-979002 feature oversized footplates that are 4-1/2" wide by 9" long, so you could use them without leveling blocks. However, it's not uncommon for people to use leveling blocks like # A10-0918 or even wooden blocks under these jacks to provide extra stability (see photos). This is especially helpful in soft surfaces like grass or dirt. What you do want to make sure is that you chock your wheels to prevent your travel trailer from rocking and rolling when parked. For that, I...

  • Length of Ultra-Fab 24" Jack When Fully Retracted?
The collapsed length of the Ultra-Fab Ultra Scissor Jacks w/ 24" Lift # UF48-979002 is going to be 26". The bolt is only going to have about 1/2" sticking out from the end when the jack is collapsed, but that is included in the 26" measurement.

  • Recommended Leveling System for 4,800 Pound Travel Trailer
I may have a solution for you, however as you mentioned in your question, leveling jacks like the Ultra-Fab Scissor Jacks # UF48-979002 are not designed to lift the trailer, but to simply stabilize a portion of its weight. There is not a trailer jack type leveling system currently available that is designed to actually lift the trailer. I instead recommend looking at the Andersen Camper Wheel Chock and Leveler # AM3604. This is a great system that works as both a wheel chock and leveler...

  • Recommended Upgrade Replacement for BAL Stabilizer Jacks
The closest thing we have to your jacks are the Ultra-Fab Ultra Scissor Jacks - 24" Lift - 6,500 lbs - Qty 2 # UF48-979002. These are BAL jacks that have a restricted height of 4-3/4 inches and an extended height of 28-3/4 inches. • Stabilizer Jack Recommendation for 4 Corners of Hi-Lo Travel Trailer
The support capacity per etrailer Camper Jack # TJ01RT-HD that you referenced is 1,000 lbs. Since your trailer would weigh up to 5,000 lbs this would not be your best option as the jacks most likely would get exceeded. I'd go with scissor jacks on all four corners of the camper like with the pair part # UF48-979002 for a set of two. These have way more capacity than needed and do a much better job providing stabilization to a camper that the style you mentioned so this is what will be...

  • Can The Ultra-Fab Ultra Scissor Jacks # UF48-979002 Be Bolted On Instead Of Welded
The Ultra-Fab Ultra Scissor Jacks # UF48-979002 can definitely be bolted onto frame of the trailer instead of welded. It's much more practical to bolt them on since scissor jacks tend to get caught on curbs or when going up or down steep hills and need to be replaced.

  • Recommended Stabilizer Jacks for a M416 Trailer
I do have options for you but none of our swing down stabilizer jacks have an extended length longer than 18". Instead, I recommend using the Ultra-Fab Ultra Scissor Jacks part # UF48-979002 which have a 6,500 lb weight capacity and 24" lift. The jacks can either be bolted or welded to the trailer frame. You can also use the Ultra-Fab Speed Socket part # UF48-979005 to lift and power the jacks with a power drill. I have attached a review video of the above jacks for you as well.

  • Easy Way to Lift Tandem Axle Wheel Off Ground to Change Flat Tire
The Ultra-Fab Ultra Scissor Jacks # UF48-979002 can be used on up to 6,500 lb trailers as stabilizer jacks, but they do not have the lifting capacity to actually lift a 6,500 lb trailer off the ground. Attempting to do so could damage the jack and potentially damage your trailer as well as hurt someone attempting to change a tire with this jack. For a tandem axle trailer a much easier way to lift a trailer to change the spare would be to use the part # AM3620 instead. I attached a review...

  • Can You Use Stabilizer Jacks Without Having To Mount Or Weld Them To The RV Frame
Great question. The Ultra-Fab Ultra Scissor Jacks - 24" Lift - 6,500 lbs - Qty 2 # UF48-979002 are just under 5 inches tall when they are fully compressed. So you should be able to squeeze them in. To directly answer your question. Yes you can use them without bolting or welding them to the frame. They are still going to support and stabilize the unit. Just remember they are not attached and forget them on the ground!

  • Replacing Old Atwood Drop Down Stabilizer Jacks
Replacement parts are not available for the stabilizer jacks that you have. Your best option would be to replace them. I actually recommend going with something a little more stout that will last longer such as a set of scissor jacks like # UF48-979002. You could then use speed socket # UF48-979005 with an electric drill to make raising and lower the jacks super fast.

  • Stabilizer Scissor Jack for Winnebago Micro Minnie 1706 fb that has Proper Height Range
Sounds like the reason your current scissor jacks aren't able to stabilize your trailer effectively is because your trailer is taller than it's height range. Your best solution will be a scissor jack setup that has a higher height range like the Ultra Fab kit part # UF48-979002 which can provide up to 24 inches of height and will make a huge difference in stabilizing your trailer. I attached a review video for more info on this as well.

  • Can Scissor Jacks Be Used to Stabilize a 31 Foot Class C RV
Yes, scissor jacks like # UF48-979002 work well as stabilizers for trailers and RVs. You also might want to consider the 4-pack of stabilizers, # UF48-979004. Each one of these has a capacity of 6,000 pounds. They are for stabilizing only and not for lifting. They stack or nest together or easy storage. They are height adjustable from 11 inches to 17 inches. A great option if you do not want something permanently attached to the trailer.
