This extended-length ladder rack gives you full over-the-cab support so you can carry ladders, lumber, conduit, or even kayaks without overhang worries. With an 800-lb capacity and a total length of 134", it spreads weight across the full rack to keep long gear stable and balanced. The raised side rails stand 7" tall to help contain cargo, and the aerodynamic crossbars reduce wind drag on the highway.

Mounting the rack takes only a few tools and no drilling. The bases clamp directly to your bed rails using included stainless steel hardware and J-bolts, so the rack stays solid without permanent changes. Each upright base secures with two clamps per side, giving strong hold while keeping your bed rails clean for future removal or repositioning.
Six load stops slide easily along the crossbars to keep ladders, boards, or pipes from shifting while driving. Just loosen the hand knob, move the stop, and tighten again. The side rails and load stops double as tie-down points, making it easy to strap down gear of different sizes or keep separate loads in place.

The rack’s clear anodized aluminum frame is sturdy but lightweight at 97 lbs, so it won’t rust or weigh your truck down. Stainless steel fasteners resist corrosion too, giving you a setup that holds up through rain, salt, and daily work abuse. The smooth finish also stands up to scratches and chips, keeping it looking clean over time.
Curved grab handles at the back uprights give you leverage to lift gear up and over the side. Whether you’re hoisting ladders, boards, or kayaks, those handles make loading safer and easier without needing an extra hand. With its 35" tall over-the-cab height and 62" usable crossbar width, this rack is ready to keep your gear high, secure, and out of the way.

Fast shipping, with great condition upon arrival. Went together with ease, looks great, and works as described.
Put it together myself in 5 1/2 hours in 90 degree heat. Went together perfectly. The only problem I had was I had to take off two of the small
supports in the side rail and both screws were either over tightened on
assembly or just too tight and had to replace the screws with new. Went together just fine. p.s. I am old and slow, but all done myself. I believe
the original posting said would not work with a job box. I have a 8ft. bed with a job box in hopes it would work, and it did.
Has held up well and not had hardware get loose. Nicely built and plenty of tie down spots.
Excellent ladder rack. easy to install. sturdy.
there are several aspects to my purchase and all of them are great! Shipped/delivered ahead of schedule, great communications with the etrailer folks, and the product was exactly what I expected!
The product is very nice after it is together. The instructions are had to follow. I had to buy a few extra bolts for mounting the crossbars because the originals would freeze up after a couple of turns. Besides that I think it is a great product.
During assembly, the square shoulders on carraige bolts rounded over inside cross member channel. In conjunction with the nylon thread lock bolts, the channel in the cross members stripped out; thereby making it impossible to continue taking it fully apart without ruining certain parts. It was a safety issue that mandated disassembly. Im disappointed that this product couldn't withstand assembly before failing.
It's a pretty nice rack. I had to purchase longer bolts to make the center bolt together properly, which was annoying. It didn't come with all the parts, the box was beat to crap and something had fallen out, and it took three tries to get the replacement piece correct even though I sent a photo of the missing piece and the missing piece's product number. That was a year ago though and I've pretty much forgotten how frustrated I was at the time. The rack does sing when you get over 40 mph or so, but they all do. I took off the triangle pieces that are meant to pinch the ladder to the guard rails, I never used them, they were always just in the way and noisy. The rack is easy to take on and off if you have help, so I always take it off for longer trips so I don't have to listen to the thing.
It's the only rack I've ever owned, I can't compare it to anything. I like it, it's not going to rust and look bad in a couple years. I frequently push the weight limit on it and it's not bent yet. I'd order it again.
I think it has a design flaw - The instructions are at On sheet 2, pictured is 'Bolt Set C' that shows 2 carriage bolts installed in 2 slots at opposite ends of bracket 8. Being at the end of a slot, the aluminum bracket will deflect a bit, which leads to looseness, which causes the bolt to slip out of the slot. When this happens twice, the bracket is loose, then it rattles over to the side and pushes the plastic end cap off. After the end cap is off, the bolt set falls off. It could be remedied with doubler plates, each with two holes to keep the bolts from moving away from each other. In addition, as another reviewer wrote, the square shoulders on 2 carriage bolts rounded the parallel sides of a groove in the aluminum cross member channel. In conjunction with the nylon thread lock bolts, it became very difficult to continue assembling properly or disassemble The design needs improvement. The light weight of the aluminum is nice. The flat black paint is fading in the desert southwest sun, but still matches the truck well. We just use it to carry a kayak and occasional lumber for home projects. If I were using it professionally, I wouldn't buy this rack; I'd get a welded steel one.
Fit as designed, easy to install.
Bolts are pulling threw on the rack. Scared to put anything heavier than a couple pieces of trim.
Built like a beast. A little confusing when assembling but solid. I use to haul kayaks, and haul deer. Anything I have attached has made 5+ hour trips without issues.
After 4 months many various cracked and broke loose.
Had to pay to have them rewelded.
I am very pleased with my Universal OTC ladder rack. It has helped me through many a job and they look great on my black F-150
We have one of the more basic ladder racks on another truck and it rattles and shakes pretty bad. This one is very solid. I can push and pull on it with zero movement.
Good day to you all. For those who take the time to read reviews. What a product I have had several racks in the past that where $1800 custom made being a general contractor. This rack was very easy to assemble. Took a few hrs. Very durable looks great and saved over $1200 how could I go wrong.
The strength and durability of the aluminum is excellent. The hardware is poor. The threads do not mesh correctly. Some hardware did not even tighten and seat all the way before binding (not cross threaded) and damaging the aluminum. I had to grind off or snap the bolts to replace with better grade stainless steel hardware. After a few months, some original hardware loosened and plastic end caps were lost. I removed from truck. I just dont have the time at the moment to replace the rest of the hardware. If the hardware was of better quality, I would have rated this product a 5 star. I would buy this product again with purchasing carriage bolts and nylon lock nuts elsewhere.
I give etrailer five stars.Great company,Great people, fast shipping However for the buyers products over the cab ladder rack I could only give four The rack is great Good welds and pretty easy to assemble. The instructions are a bit vague The picture on the box itself was actually what I ended up using instead. Also the bolts need to be bagged and tagged separately, rather than just all thrown into one giant bag to be sorted out.Do not be scared of this one,it is very easy to figure out
Absolute garbage. This is my second one in two years that has broke.
1st one broke the welds where the legs meet the actual rack. etrailer was kind enough to replace it under warranty. I shipped it to them and UPS lost it. Out $xxx due to UPS.
I go ahead and buy a second one assuming I just received a faulty one. A little over a year later, same issue. Ladder rack is unusable.
I have never put more than 300lbs on the rack. etrailer's customer support is excellent. This product is garbage though.
Luckily I caught it before it broke off while driving potentially killing someone.
Over seems to be a good product. More pictures would have sped me up but not that tough to put together. Make sure to tighten the larger bolts slowly or use anti-seize lubes as it can weld itself together from the heat of friction only drawback with S.S bolts. One nut was missing outside of that it was complete.
