Hey everyone, it's Evangeline. And today we're taking a look at the Replacement Side Marker Lens with the Gasket for your Optronics Combination Taillights right here at etrailer. So it happens, maybe you back up your trailer the wrong way and you snap off your side marker lenses or maybe you got a new light and you need to find like the replacement parts for it, that's what we're here for. I'm gonna explain how this is a direct replacement for your Optronics Combination Taillights, but can also fit for your other taillights as long as you get the measurements right. So this one is not the direct replacement but I would consider it a slight upgrade since you have the included gasket here. So if you're worried about moisture or the elements getting into your light and you want a little bit of extra protection, this creates that protection and helps seal that light or that lens to your light.
The most important measurement you're gonna need is your mounting hole dimensions. So the distance apart here on our light is gonna be 2 and 3/8 inches. Now here on our gasket, the mounting holes match up. So it's gonna be 2 and 5/16 apart from my measurement, which matches up with the lens. Now the lens' dimension is going to be 2 inches and 7/8 of an inch long and 2 and 1/16 inches wide.
The gasket is going to be slightly wider than your replacement lenses. That way you get that extra seal. Now the mounting hardware will not be included with your lens and your gasket so make sure to get your own. I'm using the hardware from our previous lenses which really is just 2 screws. So line that up, make sure everything is nice and sealed as you tighten down those screws.
Once everything is tightened down, that's it. You are able to replace or upgrade your side marker lens. The gasket will stick out a little bit past the lens and that gives you that peace of mind, knowing that the moisture will not be able to get inside that lens and affect your light. I had a branch fall on my trailer. It broke the lense cover only. This was a perfect fit and sealed it up to make it water proof.
