We are extremely hapy with the lights, we have had other Fire Departments look at them and have purchased them from E Trailer.

Very nice design no holes for the mounting screws to ruin the smooth look of trim

  • Troubleshooting Optronics Trailer Light part # STL68RB Reverse Light Circuit Doesnt Come On
The problem has to be in the wiring you are using, unless the light itself is defective which is most likely not the case. I would recommend you take the light out and test each of the functions with a known working car battery. You can do this under the hood of your vehicle pretty easily. Ground the white wire to the negative terminal and then touch each of the remaining wires to the positive post of the battery. All of the light functions should work individually. Now try using more...

  • How Many Lights Are Included in Optronics LED Trailer Stop, Tail, Turn, Backup Light STL68RB
The Optronics LED Trailer Stop, Tail, Turn, Backup Light # STL68RB is sold as a single unit, with two required on a trailer. This LED light has a built-in mounting flange and has pigtail leads for connection to your trailer wiring. The wiring scheme is as follows: White wire is for ground Brown wire is for backup light Red wire is for brake light Black wire is for tail light A snap-on stainless-steel trim ring # A68SSB is available as a separate accessory.

  • Availability of Submersible LED Trailer Backup Light Assembly
We do have a nice selection of submersible backup LED lights avaialable that might work great as replacements on your boat trailer. I have attached a link that will take you directly to this selection. I recommend taking a look at the Optronics LED Trailer Tail LIght # STL68RB. This waterproof trailer light is sonically sealed with a waterproof housing and lens that is fully submersible. It measures 10-1/8 inches long and 3-1/16 inches tall. The low-profile, oval light serves 4 functions,...

  • Is Additional Part Necessary to Prevent Breakaway Battery From Draining?
If you have tapped into the red wire from the 12V battery lead as in the attached diagram, the power is coming from your truck's battery and not the breakaway battery and you'd be just fine. If you are tapped into the wiring in any other manner you will want to change it to the 12V battery lead. As for back-up LED lights I recommend the Transit LED Backup Light # BUL90CB which is a 7" clear light that is surface mounted, waterproof and corrosion-resistant. For a combination taillight/backup...

  • Taillight Recommendation for a Flatbed Truck Built on a Chevy Silverado
I think the part # STL68RB would be perfect for your flatbed truck (looks good by the way). The dimensions of the this oval light are 10 inches long and 3 inches tall. They do stop/turn/tail/reverse light functions as well so you would be totally set. I attached a review video for this light for you to check out as well. • Installation of Resistors on Fusion LED Trailer Tail Light
The Fusion LED Trailer Tail Light - Stop, Tail, Turn, Backup - Submersible - Oval - Red/Clear Lens # STL68RB. The Stainless Steel Trim Ring for Optronics STL68RB Trailer Tail Light # A68SSB or the Snap-on Reflector Ring for STL78RB Series LED Lights - Red # A78RXB finish it up nicely. The LED lights don't always require resistors, but if you want to add them the LED Light Bulb Load-Resistors - # DI34ZR. If you are replacing all your trailer lights to LED then the # 20142 will work...

  • Does the LED Trailer Tail Light # STL68RB Have Reflectors Built-In
The 10-1/8" x 3-1/16" LED Trailer Tail Light # STL68RB that you referenced is not reflective so you will need additional reflectors like part # RE11RB or part # RE18T. We do offer some light options that have reflectors built-in but nothing in this size. The Stainless Steel Trim Ring # A68SSB is purely for looks. If you don't want to install it then there is no need to as you can see from the attached installation video on an enclosed trailer.

  • LED Taillight Recommendation for 2004 Chevy Silverado Flat Bed Conversion
I have a solution for you, but since you're switching from incandescent to LED lights and taking into consideration the size of light you're going to need, I won't be able to recommend a 4 function light that covers all of those criteria; we also don't carry actual vehicle specific replacement lights, only the bulbs. When all is said and done, because of the issues that can occur when switching from incandescent to LED lights, you're likely going to require some wiring work. With that...

  • How to Connect Backup Lights When Trailer Isn't Wired For Backup
In order to use the backup lights on the # STL68RB you will need to run additional wire on your trailer. Depending on your trailer connector you may also need to swap out the connection. Starting off lets knock out the trim ring since you mentioned it, which is the # A68SSB. Moving on to the wiring, if you already have a 7-way you can run the yellow # DW02412-1 from the connector on your 7-way back to the lights. Yellow is a common reverse color and this will connect to the brown wire...
