What is Difference between Trailer Mate and Curt Hitch for 2026 Hyundai Palisade

What is the difference between TMT29FR and C22R? both shows the same towing capacity 5000 lbs I see one for trailer and one for not so heavy use. Would either work to tow UHaul 4000 lbs or less Hybrid Palisade 2026? Thanks

Hey Eddie, the Curt hitch part # C22RJ and the Trailermate part # TMT29FR are both very similar in design and capacity. I really like the Curt hitches and recommend them whenever available but Trailer Mate isn't bad either. If you are wanting the best of the best I'd go with the Curt but if you are looking for best deal I'd go with the Trailer Mate. Will you be doing any towing?

Thank you Jameson. Yes mostly towing closed/open trailers, for sure within the 4000 lbs Hybrid limit. Thank you for the recommendation
