This weight-distribution shank can be used to adjust the rise or drop of your weight-distribution head when leveling your trailer and tow vehicle. The actual drop or rise range will vary with the style of weight-distribution system used.
When used with round-bar weight-distribution system:
Maximum drop: 3-3/8"
Maximum rise: 6-5/8"
Distance from center of hitch pin hole to center of ball hole: 11-1/2"
When used with trunnion-bar weight-distribution system:
Maximum drop: 2-5/8"
Maximum rise: 7-3/8"

First time ordering from this site, very pleased with quick shipping time and product prices are very good. Just put on truck this morning and pulled our camper from it's storage site, so far so good, works well and has plenty of adjustment notches to level camper with truck for smooth pulling.
Awesome hitch. Adjustability is superb. Bought the clevis pin hitch attachment for it and all is good to go. Also, the ability to use other types of hitches is nice, if I ever need it.
I bought this because I wanted a shorter replacement for my recurve R6 (I had a long one on my F-150 so I could drop my tailgate and tow a quad, I ended up damaging the tailgate and purchased an atv trailer).It takes some of the shock out and was worth the extra ~$, but it won't work miracles, it's probably worth spending more on the "Shocker" air hitch if you tow frequently and want to eliminate all heroines
This weight distribution shank works great. The built in surge protection is an excellent feature that made the after shock of braking minimal.
The Convert-a-ball hitch allows me to level my boat trailer easier, and it quietens the drive to the boat ramp by reducing hitch noise caused by uneven pavement.
This product is great but I have replaced it with a more appropriate hitch. I needed a three inch wide mounting plate for the McHitch fully articulating system on my Black Series HQ15. The unit I purchased came all the way from Australia.
When I traded vehicles, my new trailer receiver was 4 inches lower. My weight distribution shank did not have holes high enough to raise the ball. The convert-A-Ball was the perfect solution. etrailer delivered promptly. The product was just as described and fit perfectly. Thank you etrailer.

The cushioning system definitely works well (I'm towing an 8000# trailer with a 2015 Yukon XL Denali). The hollow vertical part has me wondering why so many other adjustable height shanks are solid steel. It's rated for 10,000# so it should be fine.

Seems to work well. Only used for a short trip and it softens the impact when stopping & starting. I plan to hover near the 10000lb limit with a 30ft toy hauler and hope this hitch holds up. Will report back after more use.
First pull went great, didn't have the random "clunk" upon decelerating or accelerating. Little loose in the reciever, but i havn't found a reciever that isn't. Once the WD is on, no issues.

I received my new weight distribution shank on time. It is exactly what I wanted for my 2013 Ford F-150 that is taller than my previous 2005 Silverado. I will be putting it to use this weekend, I am looking forward to its cushining characteristics.
