better than expected , glad i found this one , cushioned VERY NICE (>>???<<)

by:

The product is exactly as described. I haven't installed it yet, but it seems well made and should do the job excellently.

by:

I love Etrailer! I live in KC so UPS ground is like overnight! So far the new hitch looks good and I will find out Friday if it works as well as it looks! Thanks!

by:

First time ordering from this site, very pleased with quick shipping time and product prices are very good. Just put on truck this morning and pulled our camper from it's storage site, so far so good, works well and has plenty of adjustment notches to level camper with truck for smooth pulling.

by:

Awesome hitch. Adjustability is superb. Bought the clevis pin hitch attachment for it and all is good to go. Also, the ability to use other types of hitches is nice, if I ever need it.

by:

I bought this because I wanted a shorter replacement for my recurve R6 (I had a long one on my F-150 so I could drop my tailgate and tow a quad, I ended up damaging the tailgate and purchased an atv trailer). It takes some of the shock out and was worth the extra ~$, but it won't work miracles, it's probably worth spending more on the "Shocker" air hitch if you tow frequently and want to eliminate all heroines

by:

This weight distribution shank works great. The built in surge protection is an excellent feature that made the after shock of braking minimal.

by:

The Convert-a-ball hitch allows me to level my boat trailer easier, and it quietens the drive to the boat ramp by reducing hitch noise caused by uneven pavement.

by:

This product is great but I have replaced it with a more appropriate hitch. I needed a three inch wide mounting plate for the McHitch fully articulating system on my Black Series HQ15. The unit I purchased came all the way from Australia.

by:

When I traded vehicles, my new trailer receiver was 4 inches lower. My weight distribution shank did not have holes high enough to raise the ball. The convert-A-Ball was the perfect solution. etrailer delivered promptly. The product was just as described and fit perfectly. Thank you etrailer.

by:

Heavy duty and it helps with movement in the hitch. Smoother while pulling my trailers with my F150.

The price and service from etrailer was top notch.

by:

The cushioning system definitely works well (I'm towing an 8000# trailer with a 2015 Yukon XL Denali). The hollow vertical part has me wondering why so many other adjustable height shanks are solid steel. It's rated for 10,000# so it should be fine.

by:

Excellent product delivered on time as usual and of exceptional quality. Thank you very much.

by:

Seems to work well. Only used for a short trip and it softens the impact when stopping & starting. I plan to hover near the 10000lb limit with a 30ft toy hauler and hope this hitch holds up. Will report back after more use.

by:

First pull went great, didn't have the random "clunk" upon decelerating or accelerating. Little loose in the reciever, but i havn't found a reciever that isn't. Once the WD is on, no issues.
etrailer.com is fantastic

by:

I received my new weight distribution shank on time. It is exactly what I wanted for my 2013 Ford F-150 that is taller than my previous 2005 Silverado. I will be putting it to use this weekend, I am looking forward to its cushining characteristics.

by:

Staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable.

The product came right on time and we were able to take the family camping with no issues as I was able to adjust the weight distribution system to the needed level.

I highly advise to buy this product for a level worry free ride :)

by:

Hitch looks heavy duty and was a good price and fast shipping.

by:

Good price on the product. Quick shippi ng.

by:

Great quality and I know the cushioned shank works well as I have others……….like the fact it’s U.S. made………support jobs in this country !

by:

Well built. I have another one but smaller and the cushioned shank is a excellent idea ,I wouldn't want anything else.

by:

The product is what I needed. I felt very comfortable and assured with the associates there being knowledgable about the product and how they made sure I got what I needed.
Thank you.

by:

The product was good enough.
Your service
has already been great.
Thanks

by:

Excellent product. Smooth towing and very beefy. My Diesel 2500 needed the lower ball and this works perfectly.

by:

Easy and fast service.

  • Adjustable Ball Mount Set that Has 1-7/8 inch and 2 inch Ball
We have a similar way to accomplish what you are looking for from the # C45901 but we don't have replacement platforms for it. So instead you'd want the shank part # AMAC1, two platforms # BA-1 and then the ball sizes you want # 63845 and # C40002.

  • Recommendation for WD/Sway Control for 2007 Fleetwood Saratoga and 2010 Ford Flex
Tongue weight will depend on how you load it. I would check the Flex owners manual to see what the weight distribution capacity of the vehicle is. Some vehicles cannot use weight distribution systems. I am not sure on the Flex, but to be safe, I would strongly recommend checking the owners manual. Some of the aftermarket hitches we have do allow use of weight distribution system and some do not. The ones that do, do not allow an increase in tow capacity. So I would imagine if your factory...

  • Recommended Weight Distribution Hitch for a 4,000 Pound Trailer and a 2003 Honda Pilot
To be on the safe side, we will assume the maximums; trailer weight of 4,000 pounds and tongue weight of 425 pounds. When selecting a weight distribution system, the most important thing is properly matching tongue weights. That being said, you never want to exceed the gross trailer weight capacity either. We have a few weight distribution systems with sway control, that have a 400-600 pound tongue weight range and they all have more than enough gross trailer weight capacity. Being that...

  • Compatibility of Lock N Roll Articulating Hitch With Weight Distribution Systems
Unfortunately, there isn't a way to use the # 336VS501 Lock N Roll articulating hitch while using weight distribution. The good news is that we do offer a cushioned weight distribution shank, part # AMAC1. The shank has a 10K towing/2000 tongue weight capacity, and if used with a round bar system, it offers a 3-3/8 inch drop or 6-5/8 inch rise. When used with a trunnion bar system, it offers a 2-5/8 inch drop or a 7-3/8 inch rise. I've linked to a product demonstration video featuring...

  • Will Ball Mount Adapter Work With Weight Distribution Shank
I pulled one of the Ball Mount Adapters, part # BA-1 from our warehouse and took a measurement for you. As the attached photo shows, the center-to-center measurement is 2-1/2 inches. With 3 inch spacing on your shank this will unfortunately not work for you. We do offer a shank that might work for you and will work with the ball mount adapter. I contacted our representative at Convert-A-Ball and the weight capacity of the ball mount adapter # BA-1 is 10,000 pounds and tongue weight capacity is 2,000 pounds. It bolts right onto your weigh distribution shank such as the Convert-A-Ball # AMAC1. The adapter # BA-1 can fit other weight distribution shanks with 3/4 inch shank diameter holes and holes 1-1/4 inches apart on center. I added a short video review for you too.

  • Hole Spacing For An Adjustable Ball Mount 2 Inches on Center
I see the confusion with the hole spacing and think I can clear it up. The holes are 3/4 inch and they are 2-1/2 inches apart on center. They are not 1-1/4 inches apart however, that is the adjustment increment based on the Convert-A-Ball Cushioned Weight Distribution Shank for 2 inch Hitches,# AMAC1, this part is paired with. I may have a solution for you, but the Curt Rebellion XD # C45949-2 is not compatible with weight distribution hitches. If you've got a weight distribution system where the head mounts to the shank using 3/4 inch bolts that are 1-1/4 inches apart on center, you could use the Convert-A-Ball Cushioned Weight Distribution Shank for 2" Hitches - 10,000 lbs # AMAC1.
