This is a advertised. Biggest thing i didn't expect is that it is sold steel. My previous hitch which was shorter was actually hollow. This one is HEFTY.
Went from a 1500 to 2500 which was taller so needed a bigger drop to keep my trailer level. This worked perfectly with my E2 weight distribution system.
Perfect! Original shank from a Fastway E2 kit. Recently upgraded tow vehicle to a ford f150 4x4.
The problem with the original shank: at its lowest setting, the ball height marked at 21", which was an inch higher than needed for level.
The new shank allows the top of the ball to sit at 20", which is the level mark for the top of my campers hitch coupler.
Needed this shank for my Nissan Titan that has a suspension lift. Now my travel trailer is level. Can't thank etrailer enough for the fast delivery!
Needed a bigger drop for my Ram 2500. Works great & excellent quality.
I recently put a 5” lift and 35s on my 2012 Dodge Ram 3500. I needed a drop shank for the camper. This was the perfect drop for my setup. Put everything together and pulled my camper from NC to PA with no problems. Ordered on Saturday with 3 day shipping and received Wednesday. Very happy with my purchase.

The shank works as designed and fits my needs perfectly. My only wish is that the paint coating was a higher quality, maybe powder coating. It looks to me because of the rough surface and scrappy paint that this might have been refurbished. My only concern is that it might be prone to rust. Otherwise, I am very satisfied.
Order was delivered four days ahead of schedule and was just what they advertised. Sales person was knowledgable of thre weight distribution system and helped me order the correct down shank my truck and trailer required. As usual a good experience.

Very happy with this product. No problems whatsoever.
Great customer services, there was some question involving my address as billing and delivery are different. A customer service agent called within the 24 hours of ordering and confirmed my address at the box and quickly had my order on the way. In fact it arrived a day earlier, 100% satisfied customer here.

My truck is lifted 12" between the larger tires and lift kit. Needed this longer shank in order to get my weight distribution hitch to level the RV I pull. Extremely heavy duty and built to last your lifetime. It won't disappoint and will handle any trailer you put behind it.
This is a quality part. We use it with our 3/4 ton Ram along with our 27' travel trailer and I was able to get the trailer perfectly level when connected. It has very little slack in the receiver on the truck also because of the non-tapered design. It is very heavy though, so make sure to brace your back when taking it on and off!
I had originally ordered an Equalizer Hitch system for towing my R Pod with a Jeep Grand Cherokee. It worked well enough, but I was always troubled by how much lower the back of the trailer sat. This shank gave me an additional two inches of drop, which leveled the trailer to where it needed to be. Hally at etrailer.com was extremely knowledgeable and helpful with selecting the proper shank. I have been using this for about a year now to pull my 32 ft RV. Works great on my truck 2015 ram with 6in lift and 35in tires. I even have 1 more drop adjustment left on the hitch if your truck is higher.
Product works as advertised.
The distribution shank that came with the "Fastway e2 Weight Distribution w/ 2-Point Sway Control - Round - 10,000 lbs GTW, 1,000 lbs TW" worked fine for towing with a Ford Expedition.
When I bought a 3500 HD, the original distribution shank wasn't long enough due to the difference in height of the vehicles.
Swapping out the distribution shank was relatively easy. Simply follow the directions for setting and leveling the hitch.
Ordered this product on Tuesday, it was picked the same day and shipped out. I had my trailer set up by Friday. Great price and great service! This shank was exactly what I needed to get down to the trailer's 18" ball height using the receiver which came with my 2016 F250 4x4. Quality is great just like that of the Fastway e2 weight distribution hitch I purchase earlier.
Did the job. Easy to mount hitch on. A word of caution - don’t tighten the hitch mounting bolts till everything is completely adjusted. They are really hard to loosen and I had to get one of them off to adjust the spacing washers on the e2 weight distributing hitch.

Everything works well. Had to buy this when I changed tow vehicle (Toyota Highlander to Ram 1500). I don't recall seeing any mention on E-trailer web site that different vehicle needed different length shanks. Would be helpful if this would be mentioned in the product description.
Shipped quick and packed well. Our new tow vehicle put the ball 3 1/2" above the coupler. Easily switched the stabilizer ball attachment of our e2 hitch and set the ball at the right heighth. All a perfect fit. Super sturdy. Heavy and well built.

Everything works as expected. The longer shank was needed for my short camper, but to reiterate other people, it is HEAVY. Solid steel construction gives the peace of mind knowing things arent going to break, but you feel that peace of mind every time you pick it up.
