Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a brief look together at this Gen-Y Hitch Weight Distribution Shank. This shank is going to let you add a weight distribution system to your Gen-Y Hitch Adjustable Ball Mount with 2 1/2 inch stacked receivers. You're just going to slide this shank into one of those stacked receivers on your Gen-Y Adjustable Ball Mount. You're gonna secure it with this included 5/8 of an inch in diameter pin and clip, and then you're gonna attach your weight distribution head assembly to this shank. Now, this does have a maximum gross trailer weight of 21,000 pounds and a tongue weight capacity of 3,000 pounds.

As you've no doubt already noticed, we have these five adjustment holes that are gonna let you easily adjust your head assembly. These holes are spaced apart on center by 1 1/4 inches, so on center, 1 1/4 inches apart, and the adjustment hole diameter is 3/4 of an inch. Retrieving my ruler here. I just wanted to show you that the width of our shank is two inches. Now, you are obviously gonna be able to remove and insert this shank into a higher or lower receiver to get that additional rise or drop, whatever's gonna work best for your particular application.

This is made here in the USA of durable steel, and this features a zinc primer and epoxy powder coat to resist corrosion. Let me go ahead and give you some other measurements just so you can be confident that this is going to work for you. So, I wanna begin by giving you the overall height. So, lining up my ruler there, as you can see, we're sitting right at 8 1/2 inches tall. The overall length, so from end to end, as you can see there, we are sitting right at 7 3/4 quarters.

Wait, yeah, there it goes. 7 3/4 inches long overall, and then another measurement that you might be interested in is from the center of our hitch pin hole to the center of the adjustment holes. Let's see if I can line that up there for you. So, it looks like we're sitting right at 4 1/2 inches on center between those holes, and then a final measurement that I would like to give you is from the center of our hitch pin hole to the end of our shank. And so, it looks like we're sitting right at 2 1/4 inches.
