Clamp-On Installation
The TracONE mounts quickly and easily to your truck bed rails. Simply position the bases of the rack where indicated in the included instructions and secure them with the provided clamps. Each support base is held in place by 2 heavy-duty aluminum clamps. Torque the clamps down to ensure a substantial connection.
Cantilever Over-the-Cab Extension
Included with your TracRac system is the cantilever extension, which attaches to the front crossbar to provide 32" of additional length over the cab of your vehicle. With this extension piece mounted, you can carry long loads safely and easily. The crossbar of the cantilever extension is constructed in the same fashion as the other TracRac crossbars so that you get the same sturdy, aerodynamic styling throughout.
TracRac Slotted Crossbars
The sturdy aluminum crossbars on all TracRac truck racks feature integrated slots for mounting and easily adjusting accessories, such as the included load stops. These slots appear on both the top and bottom of the bars for the ultimate in mounting versatility.
A built-in trip strip at the front of each crossbar shields the slots from wind, maintaining the aerodynamic quality of the bars and preventing that annoying whistle you often find with slotted bars.
Included and Optional Accessories
Included with the TracONE are 4 aluminum load stops with tie-down points. These load stops are designed to mount in the slots of the crossbars and slide along them for quick, easy adjustment.
TracRac crossbars accept a variety of accessories (sold separately) that slide and adjust for optimal placement.
Sturdy, Rustproof Construction
The TracONE rack system is constructed of durable, lightweight aluminum. Because aluminum is lighter than steel - the material most often used for truck racks - only a small percentage of your truck's cargo capacity is taken up by the rack itself, enabling you to pack on more weight than you could with a steel system.
Even though aluminum is already rustproof, TracRac has taken the extra step of adding a dual powder coat finish to further protect the rack. The silver electrostatic powder coat (e-coat) clings to the metal surface better than traditional paint finishes for a more durable covering. The second coat is a clear finish that adds extra shine and protection from scuffs and scratches.

Well, my package was delivered while I was not home and just tossed over the rock wall surrounding the property. One of the boxes was already open and upon inspection two pieces were damaged. I sent multiple emails with plenty of pictures of the damaged boxes and pieces within one of the boxes. It seems as if the delivery guy dropped them when the box opened as he was tossing them over the wall, then he put them back in and continued putting it over the wall. I never got any responses from my emails so I’m starting to believe this Lauren person is a bot. I’m incredibly disappointed that my items were damaged and want a brand new cantilever sent to me and I will send the other one back. That was the box that was opened and pieces damaged.3444749

Rack has worked great hauling 20 foot lumber, 17 foot kayaks and standup paddle boards. The only issue I have had is the front cantilever bar over the cab is about 1" from the roof. If I hit a bump in the road it hits the top of the cab. I have a 2004 Dodge Ram 2500 Crew Cab short bed. Wish there was a little more clearance between the cross bar and cab.3201671

I reached out to my contact at TracRac and the Sliding Rack # TH43002XT-783 has not been confirmed to fit on a 5 foot bed, so even though there is a very good chance it would work with the minor modifications you mentioned, it would void the manufacturer's warranty. They will not cover any modifications.

I have a great ladder rack solution for you. When considering ladder rack compatibility, there is one key aspect to consider: whether the ladder rack mounts onto the truck's bed rails. The reason why this is a deciding factor is because bed rails are used to install most tonneau covers. If you ladder rack interferes with the bed rails, then either the rack or the tonneau can be used at a time (not together).

With any tonneau cover, the TracRac you're looking at # TH27000XT-EX will not work. These ladder racks need to have acces to the inside rails of your truck bed. The only option you may have is the Thule TracRac SR # TH43003XT-501 and that will only work if you have clear access to your steak pockets. If you do not, a ladder rack with your tonneau cover will not work.

Thanks for the photo of the rack you have. I called my contact at TracRac about this rack and fitting it to a 2004 Tacoma. Unfortunately, they told me there are no components available any longer, and this rack was designed for full size pickups and would not fit your Tacoma, but we do have ladder racks that will work for you.

The TracRac TracONE Truck Bed Ladder Rack part # TH27000XT-EX would be the correct fit for your 2002 Chevrolet Silverado. The bolts used in the c-clamps that hold the mounting feet to the trucks bed rails are a 3/8-16 x 2-1/2" long button head cap screw. I've seen some of the reviews about them being easily stripped and contacted the manufacturer. I do have a ladder rack this is compatible with the BAK Revolver X2 Hard Tonneau Cover part # BAK39327 on your 2015 Ford F-150, however, the TracRac TracONE Truck Bed Ladder Rack part # TH27000XT-EX is not. The mounting feet used on this ladder rack have an "L" shape which mounts inside the bed rail system. As the tonneau cover you currently have also installs in this location, the two are not compatible with one another.

The upright support height measurements of 27-1/4 inches for the T-Rac Pro2 Ladder Rack, # TH37002XT, and 26-1/4 inches for the TracOne Ladder Rack, # TH27000XT-EX, are correct. The design of these ladder racks have not changed and I have confirmed these measurements with my contact at TracRac.

According to my TracRac representative, the clamps that hold the front crossbar of the rack to the top of the bed side rail will extend into the interior of the bed by 1-1/4 inches per side, for a total of about 2-1/2 inches. If the width of the portion of your truck box that fits in between (not on top of) your bed rails is no wider than 2-1/2 inches less than the width between the tops of your bed rails, your toolbox should fit just fine. If the fit is tighter, there might be a problem.

We do offer Tonneau Covers and ladder racks for the 2023 Ford F-150 lightning with a 5.5" bed, but the JEC95A17-CR4005 you mentioned will not fit your truck. Unfortunately we do not have any ladder rack/tonneau cover combinations to offer you at this time (August 2023).

I confirmed with Thule the maker of TracRac that the TracONE will allow the cargo to clear the roof on the new 2017 F-250, or F-350 Super Duty. They are available for short bed or full bed trucks and are available in either matte black or silver. The distance from the bed rail to the top of the crossbar is 29 inches, so you can measure to see what clearance that gives you.

The TracRac TracONE Truck Bed Ladder Rack, part # TH27000XT-EX, can be installed over plastic bed rail protectors. Since this ladder rack system uses C-clamps for installation, no drilling or cutting of your rail protectors is required as long as you have access to the underside of the bed rails (where the clamps will be positioned). The TracRac TracONE adjustable ladder racks are not a fit for the 2004 Toyota Tacoma. TracRac has 2 options for your truck but only one that mounts to the bed; # TH14750. Thule has an adjustable option that will fit, # TH500XT. In order to install it or any rack that rests on the tops of the bed sides the bed liner would have to be trimmed away so that it only goes up to the underside of the tops of the bed rails but does not wrap up and around it. view full answer...
