Question:
I have a Karavan 5x10 trailer that I would like to buy brakes for. It is the model here: It has flange on the axle to accept brakes, but I am not sure which to buy Thanks

Since your Karavan 5' x 10' trailer has GVWR of 2990lbs, it more than likely has a 3500lb axle of which we have quite a few hub and drum assembly options for, but you will want to confirm this by verifying which bearing combination your trailer has.
The easiest way to do this is to remove one of your current hubs and look for the bearing numbers stamped in the face of each of the bearings as shown in the included picture of the # L44649.
Assuming that your trailer has a 3500lb axle you would more than likely need the Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly - 3.5K E-Z Lube Axles - 10" Diameter - 5 on 4-1/2 - Pre-Greased # AKHD-545-35-EZ-K which includes inner bearing # L68149, outer bearing # L44649, races grease seal, grease cap, and wheel bolts. As long as this matches your bearing combination this would be a great option.
For compatible braking assemblies I recommend the Electric Trailer Brake Kit - Self-Adjusting - 10" - Left and Right Hand Assemblies - 3,500 lbs # AKEBRK-35-SA with mounting hardware # BRKH10B.
Next you will need to add a 7-way connector to your trailer using the Trailer Wiring 7-Way Upgrade Kit w/ Junction Box and RV Style Connector # HS381-9000 which will give you a junction box to make all of your wiring connections. You will need # 12-1-1 and heat shrink butt connectors # DW05745-5 to connect your new trailer brakes to the junction box.
With trailer brakes installed your tow vehicle will need to have a 7-way connector and trailer brake controller installed. If you are missing either of these components just let me know the Year/Make/Model of your vehicle and I would be happy to make a recommendation for you.
If you find your trailer uses a different bearing combination, just let me know.
I included videos for the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
