The eTrailer 7-way junction box was a correct fit for the upgrade of my 4500-lb, dual-axle trailer with EOH control of the new disc brake system. The junction box was mounted on the trailer winch brace, allowing close proximity to the EOH controller and the breakaway kit. The box has multiple wiring ports, rubber grommets, and a heavy-duty, 7-pin wiring harness to reach the tow vehicle. The terminals within the box allows for proper connections of lighting, DC systems, EOH brake wire using crimped eyes mounting on solid terminal screws. Very clean, watertight, and easy to troubleshoot for any bad connections.
The box is well designed with multiple cable entry points to choose from. The cord with connector is preinstalled. One negative is the insulated lugs provided for use on the trailer side wiring. Make sure you check the wire sizes in the trailer side loom before you use them. They were not the correct size for the smaller gauge wires on my trailer harness and could be pulled right off after crimping.
the junction box and cord are great unfortunately i had to retune it it would not work for my trailer i needed to replace the whole power cabel
My wire colors did not match. Old plug did. The correct light function I had to use trail and error.
I went with etrailer over taking a risk with a similar Amazon product because I felt I could trust etailer's products better. I wasn't disappointed. Great quality and all the parts you need to do the job.
The product is great and service on your end is great. The problem I have is shipping. I ordered on Thursday afternoon and shipped immediately. It did not arrive until Wednesday afternoon next week. Also the tracking is lacking. If you could use UPS instead of USPS might help.

Wiring into a junction box makes so much sense and easier. I’m looking forward to having better lighting and brakes along with easier access to wire in my auxiliary lights.
This item was shipped in the same box as a 12K jack. The junction box was destroyed. After calling etrailer, they promptly shipped out a new junction box so I could finish wiring my trailer.
This 7-way upgrade kit with junction box came a mere 2 days after I ordered it, which is great. The entire connector set came nicely assembled and it has everything I need to easily connect it in place of my damaged 7-way cord & connector. This upgrade will assure easy replacement should I squish my cord with my tailgate again. All I will need to do is solder the provided connectors to my existing wire set and get 2 bolts to bolt the box to the 5th wheel hitch. This kit is very robust and is even better than I expected.
I will be returning it because it’s too short to hook to a pick up truck

Over-all it seems good. I was missing one nut on one electrical connector and the plastic seems a bit cheap. I will wait to see if it holds up over time.

Junction Box is flimsy, difficult or impossible to seal and the studs inside rust.
Installation of this product was extremely smooth. Installed on a 2023 Jeep Gladiator. With the harness it was plug and play.
Great item to replace your old trailer hook up. I did fine the almost same 7-way kit and junction box for less than etrailer charges $26.00), but the kit did not include the connectors that you can purchase for less then $5.00 at HF.
a very nice upgrade from the proprietary Lance 6 pin.

Easy mount and came with labels for each color wire to match up your wires on your trailers. Recommend for anyone with a newer truck with the 7 plug.

If you were to use the # HM20041 cable and a # PK52249 junction box, you'd have a bit more than 8 feet of reach. If that still isn't long enough, you can use the # A10-7W10 which is 10 feet in length.
