Nothing fancy—just pour-and-go tank fills. A gravity fill inlet lets you top off from a hose or a jug when boondocking or at home. For an easy swap, match your opening and hardware layout; some use a 3-1/2" cutout with screws 3-1/2" center to center. If you want tamper resistance, a locking door style is an alternative to recessed dish mounts.
Some recessed dish gravity fill inlets don't have a locking cap available. If you want tamper deterrence, choose a model with a locking door instead. Verify the door size and mounting pattern against your cutout before switching.
Caps are often replaceable if you match the cap diameter to your inlet opening. Some vent screens aren't sold separately; a small generic screen and suitable adhesive can be a workable substitute. Verify the style of your inlet (recessed dish vs. surface mount) so the replacement fits correctly.
Measure your wall cutout and the mounting hole spacing, then match your filler and overflow/vent hose connection sizes. If your opening is a bit small, some installs may require light trimming, and a larger face plate can help cover the enlarged area. Also check the depth from the mounting flange to the back of the inlet barb if space behind the wall is tight.
Hand-tighten the hose connection first to see if it seals, then snug as needed. Use sealant that's compatible with plastic threads and fittings, and set the flange with putty if included. Make sure the filler and vent hose angles line up; if they don't, slight repositioning of an interior access panel can help.
