Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com and today we're gonna take a look at this Valterra RV gravity fill water inlet. This wide mouth fill spout is going to let you fill your RV's freshwater tank very easily. This is a gravity fill freshwater funnel and as you can see the funnel style inlets going to let you fill your tank with a bucket or a pail if a hose is not available. And this sliding clip is going to keep this lid shut when not in use to keep out other things, keep out the elements. Now this barbed connection is going to work with 1 3/8 inch or 1 1/4 inch hose so you have some flexibility there.
This is a black plastic construction, so it is durable. This is gonna fit in a cutout dimension of about 1 3/8 inches. And let me get my ruler here and go over some other measurements here that might prove helpful for you. Looking at the overall length of our spout we are sitting right at 2 1/4 inches. And this is going to protrude about, line this up this way.
If you're wondering how far this is gonna come out from the wall, looks like it's going to protrude about 2 1/4 inches from your wall. And then this funnel opening, let me open this up, give you some measurements there. The width is about two inches and then the length or the height, we're about right at an inch and a quarter or so, the longest or tallest point there. So it gives you an idea of that opening. I did want to point out that at least in the one that I have here that when you open up this lid, it doesn't stay in the the hinges there perfectly or that opening.
So just be aware of that, that it could pop out but it doesn't really diminish closing this. It's still gonna work for you but it doesn't stay connected there permanently, that can pop out. So just so you're aware of that, so you don't accidentally lose this lid but once this clip is locked into place that's going to stay secure. Feels like it's gonna be pretty secure. Well, that's gonna conclude our brief look today.
I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
