That is definitely a feature which worries me about the B&W Continuum Weight Distribution System # BW78FR. While there is not a specific measurement I can give you as the bars move up and down depending on the load placed on the bars, B&W makes the following claim. "We performed 100,000 miles of real-world testing with our design and have not had any issues with ground clearance except in extreme road conditions. Usually, the rear of the trailer or the leveling jacks will hit the ground before the hitch has any ground clearance issues."
Personally it is hard for me to believe all their claims such as their claim it prevents sway without any type of sway device. For these reasons I still tend to stick with the Equal-i-zer family of weight distribution. While they are not an all in one system like the B&W with its wide weight range they have been used for a long time and still continue to be the system all others try to say their system is better than.
6,000LB System # EQ37060ET
10,000LB System # EQ37100ET
12,000LB System # EQ37120ET
14,000LB System # EQ37140ET
16,000LB System # EQ64FR
If you can tell me what trailer you are using this with I can help narrow down the selection based on your trailers tongue weight.

Hi Bud You never really answered the question. How much trainer tongue ground clearance is required for mounting the B&w also how far does the B&w hange below the frame. Thanks

I'm trying to figure out if my leveled horse trailer is already too low for the addition of the B&W Continuum Distribution system. The bottom of the tongue frame is 11 1/2 inches from the ground on the unloaded 2 horse trailer.
