Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a brief look together at this B&B black RV gravity water inlet hatch. Now this gravity-fill freshwater inlet is going to let you update your RV's worn or damaged hatch on your RV. And as you can see, this has a door that's going to swing open and let you get access to that gravity fill. And then you're just going to twist this open so you can begin to fill that, so very easy operation. Before I go any further, let me go ahead and give you some dimensions just so you can be confident right up front that this is going to work for you.
So let me try to give you the cutout dimensions here. So looking at the width first, we're sitting pretty close to about 4 1/4 inches wide on that cutout width. And then looking at the height, lining that up there as best as I can, pretty close to 4 3/4 inches tall for the cutout. And then looking at the overall width, we're sitting pretty close to six inches wide. And then the overall height from bottom to top, right about 6 1/2 inches tall.
And then that collar depth, if you can see that, pretty close to about an inch and a half. So the gravity fill opening and spout is going to let you fill your freshwater tank. This uses a barbed connection here on this collar here in the back for either 1 3/8 inch or 1 1/4 inch hose to your tank. And then as I already showed you, that twist-on cap is going to hold fast to keep the fill clean and prevent water loss. So you're just gonna give it a good turn, it's gonna click in place and then that's going to stay there.
As you can see, it is tethered as well, so you're not gonna have to worry about easily losing that cap, so very easy to operate. And then I did want to point out that we do have an air vent here. Might be kind of hard for you to see since this is dark color, that's gonna help balance air pressure for smooth water flow. And then you'll just attach a 3/8 inch tubing there and that tubing is sold separately. This does include a key and I'm just gonna go ahead and insert that to lock it.
And so our hatch is secure and then insert the key again to unlock it. Then that's gonna give me access, so very easy to use. I think it's gonna be very easy to install with the included screws that you see here. I think it's a nice touch at the head of the screws match the color of the hatch here, so it's going to blend in really well. Also, butyl tape is included to seal the screw holes when you drive the screws in, so you're not gonna have to worry about moisture or water getting through where you mounted this. This is made here in the USA of UV-stabilized plastic, so this isn't going to fade. It's gonna be resistant to impact and salt. It is NSF, IAPMO, CSA and TEI certified. And as I mentioned, it does include everything that you see here, again, the mounting hardware, the lock, the key, and the butyl tape, so gonna be a pretty easy installation there for you. But I think that's gonna wrap up our real quick look today. I do hope that our time together was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
