Crosswinds and passing semis can make towing stressful, but the Steadi-Flex system keeps things calm. Friction built into both the hitch head and sway control brackets limits side-to-side movement before it becomes a problem. The brackets are lined with automotive-grade friction material that grabs better than bare steel, helping your trailer track straight. You’ll notice smoother handling and a big drop in sway, even at highway speeds or on curvy roads.

No more clanking or popping when you turn. The chainless design uses fixed brackets with friction pads that hold the spring bars firmly in place. Because there’s no swinging slack, the bars don’t rattle, and the friction pads absorb noise while helping to keep the trailer lined up behind you. It’s a smoother, quieter experience every time you tow.
The trunnion spring bars are hot rolled and tapered for strength and flexibility, so they flex smoothly over uneven pavement while distributing weight evenly across all axles. This gives you a more level, controlled ride and stable steering feel. The system handles up to 6,000 lbs gross towing weight and 400-600 lbs tongue weight, keeping your setup balanced and steady.

Installation is straightforward. Clamp the adjustable brackets anywhere along trailer frames up to 6" tall—no drilling required—and fine-tune the head tilt with the washer-style adjustment. The included lift handle reduces strain when connecting the bars, and the system fits 2" x 2" weight-distribution-rated hitches. Everything you need is in the box: head assembly, spring bars, shank, sway control brackets, lift handle, pin and clip, and hardware. Just add a hitch ball with a 1" diameter shank, and you’re ready to go.

Night and day. Went from white knuckle to one handed cruz’n.
quick ship had it in three days expecting hitch to work as intended.
Delivered very fast. Great price and great customer service. Will definitely be buying again
Was easy enough to install. If I ran into any snags, it was because of me, not the product. E- Trailer provides excellent products and amazing service. Best value for the money.
Great product, easy install. Fast shipping, thanks
Very happy with product. Was fairly easy to install after watching video. I use mostly for long distance interstate driving. It makes the truck and trailer feel like one unit.
Excellent customer service and helpful installation video online. I was disappointed in the quality of the product (not etrailer's fault) due to poorly tapped holes and paint in the holes that made assembly slightly more difficult than should have been required. Just be aware of this so you don't cross thread any bolts and strip out the threads!
Very happy with my purchase, etrailer is a fabulous company to deal with , great installation videos for this item as with all the products I’ve purchased from them over the past few years.
I searched many different companys on line. I kept going back to Etrailer for many many questions regarding various other hitches and weight issues. They were extremely helpful with all my questions and very patient. Plus once I placed the order I received my order two days early.
They are the best in customer service and price. I would differently use them again.

This thing was awesome. No sway from high bridges, and semi trucks. Went over some very high tall bridges no sway there either. Track true on my Tacoma and Rockwood Roo 19. Once we got it dailed in. Distributed weight perfect front was spot one.
Works great (Jeep Wrangler pulling 3500LB load), as with all friction based WD hitches there is some squeaking when turning corners but that is as expected. Deliver and price was good. Would by again.
I just bought a new trailer that is 7 feet longer than my last and heavier and I now have a truck instead of an SUV so I needed to get a new weight distribution hinge with sway control. etrailer had all the best brands at the best price and delivery was fast. Unfortunately that's all I can comment on so far. I'm not picking up the new trailer till mid April, so I can't comment on how well it works or show pictures. I'll update later.
Works great. I am able to tow a 3,500 lb travel trailer with a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. Jeep sits level. No sway from wind or emergency lane changes. Works fine on mild off road trails. Hook up only takes about 8 minutes longer once the process is well known.
I really like the Reese Stedi-Flex system. I use it with a 2.0" ball on a Tundra when towing a small 3500lb travel trailer. I don't need it for load leveling, but it keeps the trailer in control on the highway. I have a heavier duty Reese system for towing my 8,000lb sail boat trailer (where I do need leveling) and it also works very well for anti sway
Hitch works great. Sometimes use it without sway bars (for short trips), but noticeably less sway and bobbing with sway bars attached. Used with Ram 1500 and Lance 1995 trailer.
After a few trips, one of the friction pads cracked and separated. Etrailer was very helpful getting it replaced quickly. No problems in the subsequent trips.
WOW! I have a Lance 1995 24 foot trailer that was balanced but swayed above 55 mph. I researched the solution on this site and based on everything suggested I purchased the Reese Steadi-Flex. I formerly had a Husky round bar unit that did not address the issue. The order had a minor delay so I was contacted by etrailer. They gave me options but assured me what I bought was the best. So I waited. Glad I did. I cannot believe the difference. There is absolutely no sway whatsoever with this unit. After a long drive on Hwy 99 I found the speed had crept up to 70! Oops. Still in perfect control. Had I done this before I would have wound up in a ditch!
This thing is literally a life saver and I am no longer worried when I have to tow with it. Super cudos for staff at etrailer. You have my business from here on out. Also I want to comment on the complaint about the bars being heavy. Not so. I am sixty eight and recently damaged both thumbs so my lifting is limited. (btw, old guys SHOULD NOT use a jackhammer!) The old round bar Husky was heavy, these straight steel bars are not. Much easier to set this unit up. I will never drive with my trailer again without the Steadi-Flex. Thanks etrailer!
Was used to tow a 3500lb. travel trailer with YJ Jeep with a 5.3ls engine conversion. Set bars to a very light setting. Trailer tows very nicely. Great product. The braking system for anti-sway is one of best on the market. Replaceable brake pads are the way to go, just like in tow vehicle.
Recommendation by etrailer was perfect.
Easy to install
Trailer pulls with no sway, wandering
Or porpoising.
Take the recommendation and go with it.
They know what they are doing.

Great
This has been a lifesaver for our Jeep Cherokee (non-Grand) towing a 4k# trailer. Prior to this, towing felt sketchy above 50 and downright unsafe above 70. With this, things feel secure at any speed.
Just remember to take the bars off if you're doing any sort of off-roading.
I really only have 2 gripes, hence the 4-star review:
1. The pins connecting the trunnions tend to spin a bit while driving, which can result in the cotter pin getting mangled. I had to buy a bolt cutter to remove one once and now carry them and spare cotter pins as a result. I'm very careful to always align the pins with the bars but it doesn't stay that way. It seems they could improve the design.
2. The pins tend to wear with sharp edges, making inserting and removing them very difficulty. I've already had to file the edges down once and expect to have to do it every season or so.
Both of these are very manageable, though, and are a small price to pay for the increased safety and comfort while towing.
Still can't figure out how to level the trailer! To undue the spring bars I need to raise the trailer and truck very high! Deciding whether I should just tow on the ball and not use this setup. Not very happy

Wed be happy to help you get that figured out. Take a look at the set-up video Ive linked for you. If you still have questions after that, please let us know.
Very happy with hitch system. Has made a difference in towing our camper. Easy to install, and easy to use for each trip.
We bought the 6k GTW- 600 TW which is slightly more than we needed but it was a fairly easy installation. The truck pulls the camper so much smoother and safer my husband even let me drive on the highway!
Working well for my Boat Trailer with surge brakes. I'm happy I went with this 600/6000 LBS version instead of maxing out the 400/4000 LBS version on my 380/3700 LBS rig. I'm now towing legal again since down-sizing my tow vehicle to a 2015 Ford Flex, AWD, V6 EcoBoost, Even with the factory tow package the Flex is only rated for 200/2000 without WDS, but 450/4500 with WDS. I did a couple trips to my local lake before WDS (30 mile round trip via 45 MPH roads) and the Flex felt safe for that distance/speed, but it had a lot more trailer jolt and was not quite as stable as my old GMC Envoy XL. The WDS has improved the towing stability and ride well beyond my expectations, and is now even better then towing was with buddy's full-size Pickup. I did have to use a Pole-Tongue Adapter (RP58393), and customize the adapter mounting to my trailer, but I can already tell this added hassle and expense will be well worth it for the long-haul trips I do a few times a year.
I've towed a few thousand miles with this hitch on my Astro Van (properly equipped) pulling a 15ft open deck car trailer(~4000lb loaded with 450lb TW). I have been very happy with this purchase. The anti-sway system on the WDH works very well even with my smallish tow vehicle. No issues when towing in crummy weather with strong winds and driving rain, the hitch handled wonderfully. The sway control is fairly quiet when making sharp turns or backing up.
Great product!

Used this product for about 1800 miles. I couldnt be happier. The sway control is great. Ive been in CBBT, Hampton Rd Tunnel, tall brides, and just roads. It has performed great. My one complaint is I tried to buy pads from Etrialer for this hitch and could not. I think I actually got a spare set from reese.
