Older incandescent lights can fade or burn out fast, but this 8-function LED tail light steps up the game. It uses 22 diodes that deliver strong, even light for stop, tail, and turn signals while drawing minimal power—only 0.259 amps for stop/turn and 0.062 amps for tail at 12.8 volts. This rectangular driver-side light covers all eight required functions in a single compact unit—stop, tail, turn, side marker, side reflex reflector, rear clearance, rear reflex reflector, and license plate illumination. Measuring 8-1/16" long x 2-7/8" tall x 2-13/16" deep, it fits neatly on the rear corner of trailers over 80" wide to meet FMVSS 108 and CMVSS 108 lighting standards. The included surface-mount design keeps installation straightforward with a clean look once installed.
Safety at night means being seen from more than one direction. This light’s PC rating gives it a full 180-degree spread—90 degrees to either side of centerline—so it stands out both straight on and from the side. That wide beam pattern helps drivers spot your trailer sooner in traffic or low-light conditions, reducing close calls when turning or backing up.
Hookup is easy thanks to the clear three-wire setup: white for ground, brown for tail, and green for stop/turn signal. The wires are ready to connect directly into your harness with no guessing which lead does what. This was a replacement for a damaged tail light on my boat trailer. Great tail light, clarity of the tail light is amazing and it's waterproof! Ordering was a breeze, shipping took a little longer than I expected, i.e. 7 days. But, I was provided with a tracking status once the order was processed.

One of the encased waterproof housed bulbs was shot on my trailer, and it was the style where I had to buy the entire unit.. So at that point, I figured I might as well replace both with new LED models. These are bright and amazing, I love them.
The etrailer person in the forum posted exactly what I needed, shipping was quick, and installation was a breeze.
Factory wire leads need to be a little longer and ground wire needs to have a ring terminal with an integral heat shrink wrap. The open crimped ring terminal with exposed wire provided on this light will quickly corrode and fall apart on a boat trailer when exposed to salt water immersion. Otherwise, a good quality LED light.

i ordered the LED tail lights STL16RB and the STL17RB [ license plate light ] to replace the original boat trailer tail lights.They both fit perfectly in the original mounting holes,and very easy to install.It took less than an hour to do both lights.They fit so well it looks like they came with the trailer!
These are excellent lights, very bright. an exact replacement for my existing lights that had begun to leak a little around the seals. These were easy to put on. I used crimp wire splices to attached the wires then put heat shrink tubing on them to seal. I don't submerge often so we'll see if i have any problems with this attachment. etrailer shipped promptly as always.
I installed these on my boat trailer, replacing a cheaper LED light set purchased elsewhere, which failed after about 1 year of use, and failed with an internal short. I installed these a year ago, along with a new trailer harness. Work great.
Flawless throughout the year bouncing along the highway and loading and unloading my boat in frigid water. Twice as bright as my previous "sealed capsule" tail lights, which I would have had to replace 2-3 times in that period.

Replaced broken tail light on a 2003 520 very Ranger boat trailer. I changed over both lights as I am not interested in spending $170 on not exact replacements. These lights work great. Wiring diagram would help. Not a big deal. If you get wires crossed up, it is obvious that reversing connection is needed. I ordered stl 16 and 17.
The review and ordering process went quite smoothly, especially since it was my first time to the website. I was amazed at the vast amount of inventory at etrailer and decided I will be back. Tracking of my order was easier since the tracking info was preset into the url as opposed to being directed to a general site. Delivery was in the allotted timeframe. Purchased a set of these lights as replacement/upgrades on my existing standard boat trailer lights. These LEDs lights perform exactly as described. They are completely water tight. After one full year of use, they perform as well as the day I installed them.
The is the EXACT same light for half the price for my MagicTilt Trailer! VERY HAPPY. Thank you.. now if i could just quit backing into the planters on the side of the house would fix the problem!

The lights are still going strong after a year! No problems with water or night driving. Light up every time!
I got these led lights to replace my original trailer lights. Easy to install and a lot brighter, definitely recommend them for anyone wanting to replace there old trailer lights.

I needed to replace some of the lights on my boat trailer. The old light were incandescent and some of the bulbs had burned out, securing screws were rusted. Product was exactly what I was looking for. Links on each product web page provided very good description and product information.

This light was a much needed upgrade on my boat trailer to make it look more modern and not so old. It is very bright, fit right into the existing holes I used for the old lights and wiring it up could be easier! Have yet to dunk it in the water but I'm sure it will be just fine! Great Product!

Its been a year and these lights are still working as advertised. Been able to launch the boat with my trailer lights still hooked up no problems!
I have been dunking these lights in salt water every weekend for more than a year on my boat trailer. Gone are the days of chasing corroded bulbs and sockets. Remember to use heat shrink on the electrical connections to keep them waterproof.
On top of that, these lights are nice and bright.

These lights continue to take dunking in salt water. It feels great to know that each trip doesnt start with an effortto find that burned out bulb or corroded connection. Be sure to use shrink tubing on the wire connections, though.
I called up Etrailer.com and was assisted by a very friendly and knowledgable young lady that helped me get exactly what I needed. The transaction was as painless as possible and took all of about 5 minutes. I had already found the left LED light part number and she told me the part number for the right side light, both matched up exactly to the shape/size and mounting configuration of my existing light that had bulbs.
My package arrived in great shape in only 2 days and installation was a breeze - around 5 minutes a light. The LEDs look great and gave my 4 year old boat trailer a new look. I highly recommend etrailer for any lighting needs you may have and also the LED lights. No more bulbs to blow out and no more worries of corrosion of the fixtures.

The light was an exact match to the broken one. I soldered the wires and covered them with heat shrink tubes to complete the installation.
Delivered quickly, easy installation, MUCH brighter than the incandescent lights that were on the trailer. Mounted the same, so installed in less than 30 minutes. Looking forward to not replacing bulbs every time we launch the boat.

Had to replace the right light assembly because the center elements that do the turn signal melted.
This is the light to meet my needs, just wish it was part of a whole lighting kit.
