Optronics STL26 Series Micro Flex LED Combination Tail Light Diagram

Sealed, Waterproof Trailer Light

The waterproof construction of this light makes it ideal for use on trailers that may be submerged, like a boat trailer. The circuit board is sealed, which means that water will not damage the diodes or circuit board.

Combination Lights for Trailers Over 80" Wide

Flatbed trailer over 80" wide with combination tail lights

If a trailer is 80" or wider at its widest point, then it requires rear clearance lights in addition to basic trailer lights. These clearance lights indicate the width of the trailer when it is viewed from the back.

To meet these requirements on a flatbed utility trailer where the bed extends past the wheels, you can install combination trailer lights that include the rear clearance function. For proper mounting, the lights must be installed at the widest points on the rear of the trailer - one on each corner.

PC-Rated Lights

Diagram of light spread for PC rated light

A PC-rated light produces a 90-degree angle of light to either side of its centerline for a total of 180 degrees of coverage. This beam pattern can be clearly seen when you are standing directly in front of the light, as well as when you are standing on either side of the light. When properly installed, this type of light can function as both a front clearance light and a side marker light or as a rear clearance light and side marker light.

  • Is the Miro-Flex LED Combination Trailer Tail Light STL26RB One Light or a Pair?
Hey Tim. The Miro-Flex LED Combination Trailer Tail Light item # STL26RB, you were looking at, is one passenger side light. For the other light you'll need the Driver Side item # STL27RB. What kind of trailer do you have? You can add this information and any other questions you have where it says Reply to Jerred H and I'll be happy to answer them.

  • Replacement LED Trailer Tail Lights For Wesbar 102641
We do have an easy LED replacement for your Wesbar trailer tail lights that use the 102641 lens. Those lights are 8" long with mounting holes that are 2" on center, and for an LED upgrade with the same specs use the following: - Driver Side: Miro-Flex LED Combination Trailer Tail Light # STL27RB - Passenger Side: Miro-Flex LED Combination Trailer Tail Light # STL26RB This will give you nicer, longer-lasting, brighter tail lights for your trailer. As for the clearance lights, that's...

  • Replacement Trailer Lights for Boat Trailer With Optronics ST36/37 Series Lights
It sounds like you want to use the Miro-Flex LED Combination Trailer Tail Light - 8 Function - Submersible - 18 Diodes - Driver Side # STL27RB and Passenger Side # STL26RB as replacements for your current lights. That is perfectly fine, and the wires should match up. These are, however, a little longer and shorter when compared to your current lights. If you would like a direct replacement that matches the size of your current lights you can use the # ST37RB and # ST36RB. If you're looking...

  • Replacement Tail Light Lens on a Snowmobile Trailer with Optronics Tail Lights
If your tail lights look like # STL16RB or # STL17RB, then you can use the Replacement Tail Light Lens, # A16RB. This is the correct replacement for the tail light. If the lens portion is deeper on your lights than those pictured, you may have a 26 series light like # STL26RB as an example. The 1/16 of an inch would be the very first tick mark after the 8 inch line on a ruler (provided the ruler measures in 1/16 increments). Both my Staples ruler and Craftsman tape measure use the 1/16...

  • Recommendation for LED Waterproof Corrosion Resistant Rescue Boat Trailer Lights
Since your rescue boat trailer is 188 inches (15 feet 8-inches) tongue to tail and 89-1/2 inches (7-1/2 feet) width I recommend the following: I recommend Optronics right side LED trailer light # STL26RB and left side LED trailer light # STL27RB. They are waterproof and corrosion resistant and will mount to all surfaces. These work great with trailers over 80 inches wide. The left side has a built-in license plate light. The rear clearance and side marker red LED lights # MCL13R2B are...

  • Can a Right Side Trailer Tail Light be Mounted Upside Down on the Left Side
The lens style needs to face a certain way on light # STL26RB. Also, mounting it upside down could cause it to fall off because it slides onto bolt heads to secure to the trailer. The best option is just go ahead and get the proper left side light, # STL27RB, and either block out the bottom lenses or disconnect the wires inside the light that go to the bottom.

  • Difference Between The Optronics Trailer Lights # STL16RB and # STL26RB
Both the Optronics Trailer Lights, part # STL16RB, and part # STL26RB are able to go under water. The definition of waterproof means that the unit will not let water in after being under water for a certain period. Since both lights are LED lights, the diodes are in a sealed unit of their own, which water cannot enter. The Optronics Light # STL16RB is labeled submersible, because it has a replaceable lens, but the diodes are sealed. Both lights can be used on trailers over 80 inches wide,...

  • Which Trailer Tail Light Goes with Left Hand Optronics Trailer Light, # STL27RB
The Optronics Trailer Light, # STL27RB, is just the left hand (driver side) light. The right hand light that matches is Miro-Flex, Waterproof, Over 80 Inch, Rectangular Trailer Stop/Turn/Tail Light, # STL26RB. I have also included a link to the available trailer light kits we have available. Kits include a left and right hand tail light, wiring harness, hardware, license plate mounting bracket, and some include additional marker lights.

  • Recommended Waterproof Trailer Lights For Boat Trailer Over 80-Inches Wide
The difference between waterproof and submersible is that the submersible lights have drain holes to let any water drain out if any should find its way inside the light while the waterproof does not allow water in because it is sonically sealed. For a boat trailer I recommend the waterproof since it does prevent water from entering. It is always a good idea to unplug your trailer from your tow vehicle when backing your trailer into water for loading and unloading. We do not have lights...
