Question:

I have light assembly monarch 5236 looking for the left and right side for my trailer was wondering if you had any idea where I can get them

Hello Robert. I looked up these monarch 5236 tail lights and from what I can see, this particular light is obsolete. We do have a good replacement option for you, but we do not offer a direct replacement. Our closest LED taillight assemblies we carry are the part # STL17RB for the driver side and part # STL16RB for the passenger side. These lights measure 8-1/16" long x 2-7/8" wide x 2-13/16" deep.

Jesse they won't work my lights are 9 inches long 2 and half wide 3 inches deep they fit in the frame of the trailer

Hi Robert. Did you ever find something that would work for a replacement for your Monarch 5236 tail lights? We are needing to replace ours and everything we are seeing is over 2 1/2 inches and won't fit in the frame.

Hi Jesse, I'll jump on this bandwagon as well. The fixture space on my trailer is 2-5/8" tall. The shortest light I can find currently produced is 2-7/8" tall, like the one you mentioned. Any suggestions for a workable replacement?

@BillY Hey Bill looking again at these monarch 5236 tail lights online it looks like they are made for a very specific cutout size. I am not seeing we have anything that would fit in that size space. The # STL16RB is the closest we have but it is 2-7/8" tall. We do not have any rectangular light that would fit the 2-5/8" tall space. Seeing as the 5236 light is no longer available you might have to get creative and find a way to retrofit a different light.
