The waterproof construction of this light makes it ideal for use on trailers that may be submerged, like a boat trailer. The circuit board is sealed, which means that water will not damage the diodes or circuit board.
If a trailer is 80" or wider at its widest point, then it requires rear clearance lights in addition to basic trailer lights. These clearance lights indicate the width of the trailer when it is viewed from the back.
To meet these requirements on a flatbed utility trailer where the bed extends past the wheels, you can install combination trailer lights that include the rear clearance function. For proper mounting, the lights must be installed at the widest points on the rear of the trailer - one on each corner.

It was a good fit. Had to modify the connection just a bit because of the age of the trailer but basically a bolt on & plug in. Works as advertised and have had the boat trailer in the water several times with no leaks & no shorts.

Trailer taillight replacement is still working good...... No issues
Plug showed up today, no light, even though I was promised both would be here today. Called company. Told would have to pay a fee if I returned light. Last time I order anything.
Purchased to replace broken lights on my boat trailer. They fit perfectly using previous mounting holes. Electrical connections straight forward. Left hand unit contained illumination for license plate.
Order was shipped in a timely manner.
Service was great. Light has one year of perfect use!
Nothing too technical about the part itself. A simple swap out of the old parts. Matched the dimensions of the OEM parts so the installation went smoothly. Deliver from etrailer was excellent and prompt. Will definitely continue doing business with etrailer! The best online vendor for providing installation videos and answering technical questions. Keep up the good work!
This was a direct replacement for a broken tail light on my Tracker TrailStar 17' trailer. I spliced it into an existing harness. Looks and works great. I would say that it is resistant to water damage when submerged. Its not water proof however.I always disconnect the harness from my truck before putting the trailer in the water.
This was the exact replacement tail-lights that was on my 2016 pontoon boat i was

Awesome! Happy with my purchase!
This is not a waterproof product. This is my Second Aero tail Light in less then two years. They get full rust inside the box and the lights go out and I got a ticket.

I ordered this trailer light on line etrailer.com. My product came in expected and I mounted it that day. I like these trailer lights because they are very bright, even though their not LED, and they are submersible. Can't beat the price.
I have use your site for a few years now and I have found everything I need for my boat, planning to much some other items from you over the winter, very please with your store.
I ordered new lights for my husband. I was really did not want to do this.
I thought it would take forever and I would need to ask him a lot of
questions. But no, it was very easy, almost took no time at all.
The things I ordered were sent as promised, we received everything quickly.
We were delighted!!!!
Bought this mainly for the lens to replace a broken one but its good to know I have all of the other parts on hand including spare bulbs if needed. It was a better deal to buy the whole thing than just the lens. The bulbs in this unit are in a water resistant inner enclosure to buy some time before water gets in to the bulbs when launching your boat. Always unplug your lights before backing in the water.
