Not only were the parts the right parts the kit had all I needed to do it right the videos made it as easy as it could be. The right parts that work and good videos on how to do it. I did call to be sure I was ordering everything I was going to need and was given great advise and was not encouraged to get things that I did not need. They are my go to team to get anything trailer done.

I have a 2001 travel trailer and I had a spring break on the front axle, thank God I was only a quarter mile from home. I went on the E trailer site easily found the springs I needed, the Triangular equalizer, and the bolts I needed. My order arrived 3 days later, I was very pleased with the quality of all my parts. Some reviews complain about the parts made in china, well lets be honest what is made in the USA any more. Every thing fit as expected and my project is done. Would definitely recommend E trailer to anyone who wants a good product at a fair price . Thanx E trailer!!

The product is exactly what I ordered. Shipping was very quick. The staff at Etrailer was very pleasant and knowledgeable. I'm sure I will order from them next time I need parts for one of my trailers.

Perfect fit

Product seems to be of decent quality, but was missing a bushing when I recieved it. That put me another 3 days behind waiting for them to send out a bushing to replace the one left out of the order. They aren't able to be locally procured for me, so I had to wait on shipping. Quality control could use some work.

Excellent service extremely helpful, friendly, probably the best customer service I've ever seen 6 star rating!

Fit perfectly, I removed plastic bushings to use wet bolt heavy duty shackle kit!! Everything fit perfectly!!!

i have ordered many parts for my old car trailer, and every part has fit perfectly. easy website to find my parts also.etrailer is awesome! And i am a hard man to please

Good product I have put 7,000 miles on them no problems.

Great parts and fast delivery

This product was easy to install and seemed to be well made. It gave me a few extra inches of height that I wanted to help level my fifth wheel. I would have prefered to find one made in the USA and one that had bronze bushings. I took out the plastic bushings and installed the equalizer with a wet bolt kit with bronze bushings and grease zerks on the bolts. The service at etrailer was great. I needed the equalizers quickly and etrailers representative was friendly and helpful and shipping was immediate.

Great products for a good price and fantastic service. I will be using etrailer again.
I broke one spring on my tandem axle trailer. After a little internet search I found etrailer. I decided to change all springs(upgraded to p4)shackles,equalizers,n bolts) total price around $200.00 about 40 percent cheaper than a local trailer repair shop..I ordered it early on a Tuesday and I got the order on Wednesday. Changed out parts on Thursday and back on the road on Friday. Great company to deal with!!

Old ones out, new ones in. Easiest thing I've done to the camper to this date. Fast delivery time and well packaged. I will be doing all my future business with you.

Those pieces went in and work flawlessly. They did exactly what I needed them to and to tell the truth I forgot about until now. I had a wonderful experience doing business with you and I will only buy my parts and supplies from you in the future.

Patrick B.

Thanks for coming back and letting us know how the Timbren kit has held up for you.

I ordered springs, bushings , shackles, equalizer, and bolts from e-trailer for my rv tandem axle Chris helped me insure I had the correct parts and the correct quantity of parts. I put one on and everything went fine. The only problem was the galvanized coating on the shackles made the hole to small and had to be drilled. ETrailer has great videos to show you how it is done. The phone sales staff was knowledgeable and effective, and shipment was quick, and all parts were there.

Product solved suspension issue, increasing clearance to frame just enough to avoid spring to frame contact.

Steve M.

Triangular equalizer works great, just exactly what I needed, typical of everything i’ve gotten from Etrailer. Make it your first place to shop and it will be a one-stop shopping experience.

First time buyer @ etrailer, web-site was easy to navigate and find what I needed at a very good price. Shipping was very quick. Parts installed without any problems... very nice fit.

Thanks, will be looking forward to our next shopping trip.

Fit perfectly. Thanks

This is great company. Fast shipping, great service, cheaper than local store. Just repair my trailer today and fit perfect for my 4 spring leaf replacement. This is good quality. You can't go wrong with eTrailer. Thank you.

Service from staff was great ,order was shipped fast ,Waiting on shackles,I recived a call and email that shackles were not in stock for delivery but they will ship them soon as they came . Great customer service,Will order from etrailer again will post pictures in future were are building a travel/gypsy trailer. Thanks etrailer

This fit my trailer perfectly. The original lasted 15 years. I expect this one will last just as long. There are different sizes made check the dimensions to be sure it is the correct one for your trailer.

Expected as per their picture and video. I like their product video too helps in selecting

Shipment was in time they could improve their packing for putting nuts and bolts. Small hard boxes would do good putting in zip lock bags gets torn

Otherswise parts and service is excellent

Fast delivery, product as described online. Used on a 1999 Carmate trailer. Works great!

This product helped give me the space I needed to go to the larger wheels and tires.

Etrailer did a great job with everything. I will use them for all my rv needs. Their staff was super patient ans helpful with everything. Worked out perfect with my suspension.

  • Longer Hanger Recommendation for Lifting a Trailer 1-1/2 inches for Tire Clearance
You actually would want shorter shackles for additional lift and then a taller equalizer would help as well. For as much of a lift as you are wanting I would recommend you get hangers that are about 1-1/2 inches longer though, since you want your leaf springs to sit level. And to get 1-1/2 inches of lift by changing shackles and equalizers you most likely will have your leaf spring not sitting level. I attached a link to a page that has all of the hangers we offer. You will need to determine...

  • Availability of 4 inch Tall Trailer Equalizer with 6 inches Between Mounting Holes
Based on what you listed the closest equalizer we have to what you need is the part # TREQ310. This is 4 inches tall from center of mounting holes and has a distance of 6-1/16 inches from left to right. I attached a picture of the dimensions as well.

  • Can a 4 Inch Tall Equalizer be Used in Place of a 2 Inch to Get More Height On a Trailer
You could use a taller equalizer but you would also need to use taller front and rear hangers as well. Everything will have to be raised equally so if you go up 2 inches in one spot you have to go up 2 inches in all spots. If you do not raise it at all the hangers as well the trailer will ride awkwardly and lead to poor tracking, uneven tire wear and could reduce the capacity of the trailer. When raising the height of a trailer you also raise its center of gravity. This makes the trailer...

  • Torque Rating for Shackle Bolts and Trailer Suspension Components
If you are using 9/16 inch shackle bolts which are the most common you will want 65 to 95 foot pounds of torque. If you are using 1/2 inch then go for 45 to 70 foot pounds. And for 5/8 inch bolts use 100 to 120 foot pounds. You probably would not be able to move the suspension easily if at all by hand once properly tightened down. • Troubleshooting Rear Hangers Breaking and Front Shackle Strap Making Contact with Trailer Frame
If a rear hanger has broken off twice at the weld on your tandem axle trailer, it's possible that your axles aren't lined up perfectly which is leading to a twisting action during travel. I recommend checking to be sure that the axles are lined up straight with the trailer frame and that nothing looks off with regards to their orientation with each other. Your front shackle straps coming into contact with the trailer frame likely isn't related to the rear hanger issue, but it still is...

  • Why Do Trailer Suspension Equalizers Come in Different Shapes and Sizes
Equalizers for trailer suspension have different shapes, lengths, and heights to accommodate different axle spacing, spring lengths, and deck heights. Going to an equalizer that is not the same length and height as the original will require replacing other parts as well including but not limited to the spring hangers and springs themselves. The previous owner of your trailer probably wanted the trailer lower but he didn't do it correctly. With the bow in the axle facing done it reduces...

  • Taller Tire Recommendation for a Trailer to Lift it
What about going with a taller tire on the trailer? Using blocks or longer hangers and shackles can give you additional height but this can cause the trailer to be a bit top heavy since the trailer's suspension will be altered. Check out the link I attached to the right that has a chart with all of the trailer tire sizes we offer. You will want to check to see what you have and then find a size larger (as long as you have the clearance) that will also fit your trailer's rims. In the far...

  • Could Trailer Suspension Be Lowered by Lowering Height of Equalizer
Yes, if you lowered the height of your trailer's equalizer the height of the trailer would change. That said this is not the best solution as the outside hangers on the trailer suspension are at a height is designed to allow the leaf spring to sit level. If you change the equalizer height drastically without changing the hanger heights too you'll end up with springs that won't sit level. A better option would be to cut the hangers off and go with ones shorter than what you have so that...

  • Adjustable Suspension on a 5th Wheel Trailer to Get More Height to Tow Trailer Level
I can't confirm that an over/under kit would work for you because of the unique hangers on the trailer. Though it does look like it was designed to be adjustable. It also would appear that the amount of height you would gain would be approximately equal to the center to center distance from one mounting hole to the next. This would appear to be a great option for you provided all the hanger locations have additional mounting holes like in your picture. You may also need some addition...

  • Replacing Straight with Triangular Equalizers On a Trailer
In order to confirm fit of the Triangular Equalizer for 1-3/4" Double-Eye Springs part # TREQ310 you need to verify the spacing between the lowermost holes on the equalizer either matches what is currently installed on the trailer or will match when new shackles straps are also installed to make up the difference. The above equalizer measures 6-1/16". The height of the equalizer is not as important. It will provide lift if going to a taller option but it's not a direct 1:1 ratio. If you...

  • Why Would Trailer Suspension Equalizer Sit at Angle After Moving Boat Forward on Trailer
You want to have as much weight forward like you did so that the trailer doesn't sway or porpoise like you mentioned. If the equalizer of the trailer suspension is now sitting at an angle that indicates that your tow vehicle suspension is now sagging to point the nose of trailer is lower significantly. One solution is suspension enhancement which will give you more support like you need so that sag goes away. Or you could go with a ball mount that has less drop but that doesn't fix the...

If the equalizer part # TREQ310 matches the dimensions you need it would work regardless of the axle spacing differences you mentioned. • Can a Trailer with Leaf Springs Above Axles be Raised
In your situation where you already have the springs above the axles your best option for raising the trailer suspension is to install taller suspension hangers. I attached a link to a page that has all of the hangers we offer. You would want to measure the height of your current ones and then find ones tall. Ideally you want to have the trailer sitting as level as possible with at least 6 inches between the bed rails and the trailer overhang.

  • Using Taller Equalizer to Lift Trailer After Changing to Lower Mounting Holes on Hangers
As you mentioned in your question, we typically recommend replacing existing hangers with taller ones to ensure you get the trailer lift you are wanting. But with that being said, in your particular application, that is what you will essentially be doing since you already adjusted the front and rear hangers to the lower mounting hole. The only reason that I can see that those tabs would have been welded onto your frame is to restrict articulation of the equalizer. And the only reason I would see anyone putting those on is if the articulation was causing the tires to contact the fenders of the trailer. First of all you will want to make sure that your axles are rated for 6K to 8K otherwise the ride will be too stiff.
