Each Dexter 12-1/4" brake assembly has an integrated ABS sensor that connects with the Tow Assist system to reduce wheel lockup and help keep the trailer stable during braking. Traditional brakes lose power when the shoes wear down, but these don’t need manual tweaks. The Nev-R-Adjust mechanism automatically maintains the right shoe clearance, keeping braking smooth and consistent mile after mile. It’s one less maintenance chore and one more reason braking feels steady every time you tow.
There’s no hydraulic plumbing or complex setup here. These electric brakes connect directly to an in-cab brake controller and work with Dexter’s Tow Assist system after a quick reset. Once synced, the integrated ABS sensors handle the feedback automatically, giving you reliable braking response without extra upkeep.
Each assembly is designed for Dexter ABS-equipped 8K axles using a 4-bolt mounting flange. The 12-1/4" diameter and 3-3/8" wide shoes offer strong braking surface area for heavy hauling.
