Heather, most horse trailers in that weight range run 7K, 7.5K or 8K axles, depending on the model year. The easiest way to tell which you have is by checking the axle tube or bearing combination:

A 3" tube with a 14125A outer bearing usually indicates a 7K axle. If this size the correct ABS brakes are Left # DX69WR and Right # DX79WR.

A 3" tube with a different drum depth (12-1/4") means you’ve got the 7.5K axle, with the correct ABS brake assemblies being # DX23WR.

A 3-1/2" tube using 25580 bearings inside and out would be an 8K axle, which fits the Dexter ABS brakes # DX55WR.

The 7.5K and 8K assemblies look similar but aren’t interchangeable - the 8K has a deeper 3-3/8" shoe.
