Question:
Do the Dexter ABS Tow Assist brakes need any setup after installing, or do they automatically sync with the system?

Travis, the ABS system’s smart enough to handle that on its own. Once you install the new assemblies - like the # DX23WR for 7.5K or the # DX55WR for 8K axles - you just reconnect the brake wiring and ABS plugs when installing the hub, torque the hardware, and power the trailer up. The Tow Assist controller does a self-check every trip and will show a steady green light when it recognizes everything’s working.
Did your indicator light come on amber after you swapped parts and you're still having an issue, or are you still planning your replacement? I'm just wondering what prompted you to replace them.
