Question:
My 2023 Jayco North Point fifth wheel came with Dexter Tow Assist. How do I confirm which brakes I need before ordering?

Terry, the quickest way is to check your axle tube diameter and then confirm with the axle tag if you have it:
~3 inch tube 7K axle with tow assist abs = use # DX69WR Left and # DX79WR Right
~3-1/2 inch tube 8k axle with tow assist abs = use # DX55WR (includes left and right as a pair)
Bearings can help confirm, but they overlap a bit: both 7K and 8K use 25580 inner bearings 7K may use 14125A, 15123, or 02475 outer bearings, while 8K uses 02475 outer only. Because both families use 12-1/4 inch diameter brakes but different shoe widths and hardware, it’s important to match by axle rating tube size/tag before ordering.
Let me know if you have any trouble still figuring out the axle capacity/size, and I can provide some more insight.

Thanks Andrew. I crawled under the trailer and found the tag - definitely 7,000-lb Dexter axles. The tubes measure right at 3", so I ordered the #DX69WR and #DX79WR. Should I replace both axles at the same time, or can I do one for now?
