Most brake controllers stick out and take up knee room, but this one tucks the main unit behind the dash. All you see is a small control knob—only 9/16" wide and 1-7/8" long—that blends right into your console. It looks like it came from the factory, not an aftermarket install. The knob handles everything: adjusting brake power, hitting manual override, and showing color-coded LED alerts while keeping your dash clean.
The Tow-Pro Liberty uses an internal 3-axis accelerometer to match your trailer’s braking to your own. That means smooth stops whether you’re coasting down a hill or hitting the brakes hard. It works with electric or electric-over-hydraulic systems on trailers with up to 2 axles (4 brake assemblies). Output is steady and reliable at 9V–16V and rated for 18 amps continuous, so you get confident, even braking without the push-pull feeling.
No wire splicing or bulky boxes under the dash. The included custom harness plugs straight in for a simple install. The compact main unit can mount almost anywhere within reach of the 3' cable that connects it to the knob. A universal mounting panel is included to give a factory-style finish wherever you place it.
Setup is simple—just drive and brake normally while it calibrates automatically. The LED changes from blue to red when the trailer brakes engage, showing braking intensity at a glance. Need to stop sway or steady the trailer? Press the knob for manual override and take immediate control. Once calibration is complete, it stays set automatically for smooth performance every trip.

Funny how things work out. Just about a year later I finally got to use my brake controller on our 19 foot Evo Travel Trailer. I couldnt be happier with how great it worked and how responsive the controller is. The best thing about it is that when something is wrong with the connection, it blinks red and doesnt stop until the problem is solved! For example when I hooked up the trailer plug for some reason I accidentally pushed one of the tabs over to the reverse round connection and that created a fault. So the controller was blinking red telling me something was seriously wrong with the connection! I unplugged it, saw what was wrong on the female connector, fixed the tab and was working great afterwards. I highly recommend this product 100
