Question:

Good Evening! I ordered the RED82CR for my 2022 Toyota 4Runner. Cant wait to receive it and install it. Watched many videos. Did I need to order the part to install the control knob into one of my open ports specific to a Toyota? From looking at the pictures of the items that come with the kit, I didnt think I needed to order it. Ive been rewatching videos, and some of the non-etrailer videos suggest I needed to buy the part specifically for Toyotas. BTW: the website is easy to use, pointed me in the right direction, and had great information that saved me money by not buying too much. Big etrailer.com fan now! Definitely my go-to. I wish I had known about etrailer.com a few years ago.

I absolutely recommend picking up the Mounting Panel for Redarc Tow-Pro Trailer Brake Controller Control Knob item # 331-TPSI-007. This was designed specifically for those extra knockout panels in your Toyota 4Runner.

We had a customer send in a picture of it installed on a 2020 4Runner that I have attached below. This will save you time installing the item # RED82CR as well.

Hey Grant, how did the install of your Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty go with the mounting panel for your 4Runner? It sounds like that panel should have made the setup a lot smoother. Your update could make it easier for others working on the same brake controller.

@JerredH This switch panel, TPSI 002, does not fit a 2022 Toyota 4Runner. It is specified for a 4Runner up to 2012. I do not know what icture you have of a 2020 4Runner, but this is likely the part I need. This appears to be a part you do not sell. I think I will need to make my own, and Grant will, as well.

@Jeff For a 2022 Toyota 4Runner you'll need the Mounting Panel for Redarc Tow-Pro Trailer Brake Controller Control Knob item # 331-TPSI-007. It fits the lift side knock outs.
