It says triple lip seal right on the package but it is a double lip seal. Not impressed.

Hey Kaleb, if you look at the inner portion of the Grease Seal Kit part # DX49CR you can see three lips/ridges. That is what is meant by triple lip. I attached a picture that has the section to look at.

Hey Allen, thanks for reaching out. Yes, we do have a standard double-lip seal you can use in place of the # DX49CR triple lip seal. Here is what I recommend: - Grease Seal - Double Lip - I.D. 1.719" / O.D. 2.565" for 3.5K and 4.4K Axles - Qty 2 # RG06-050 This is the exact same size as your current seals, only they are double lip instead of triple. Double lip seals are totally sufficient for a trailer that never sees water. What do you usually haul with your trailer?

Replacement Grease Seal Kit for a 3,500 lbs Axle
Hey Mike, you're close! You will need one of the Grease Seal Kit item # DX49CR for each axle. This is a 2-pack of the seals and you only need one seal per hub. To replace two axles worth of grease seals you'll need two of the item # DX49CR kits. Are you doing routine maintenance or did you blow out your seals? Chris, so to start with your questions, you can use the Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly # AKHD-545-35-K as a replacement hub and drum assembly, and the #84 Spindle for 3,500-lb Trailer Axles # TRU24FR to replace your spindle, but we unfortunately do not have a replacement free backing kit. But, we do have replacement bearings # L68149 & # L44649, along with the triple lip seal # DX49CR should you need those as well.

That means a spindle like the CE Smith Tapered Weld on spindle # CES98WR that uses a 1-3/8" inner and 1-1/16" outer bearing. Will The Dexter Idler Hub DX45BR Work With A 10" Kodiak Slip-On Rotor?
Hey Allen. Yes, the Dexter Idler Hub # DX45BR will work with the 10" Kodiak slip-on rotors, provided the rotor has the same 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern. The Grease Seal Kit # DX49CR will fit the # DX45BR hubs. You'll just want to make sure the 1.719" ID matches up with your spindles. That is the standard seal size for a 3,500 lb axle.
