Tips for Replacing and Installing Trailer Fenders

Do your best to match the dimensions of the new fender to your old one.
- If a fender was damaged during a blowout, use the opposite fender to get the dimensions.
As with all trailer maintenance, don't forget to chock your wheels before getting started.
For a bolt-on fender, use your existing mounting hardware, if possible.
- The old mounting bolts or screws might be stripped or rusted, in which case you'll need to tap them out and buy new hardware.
If removing an old, welded-on fender, either carefully chisel it off yourself or take your trailer to a weld shop to have the fender professionally removed.
Don't forget to prime and paint the new fender to keep it from rusting (and to match your trailer's finish).
Before you start drilling, position the fender where you need it and center it over your wheel well.
- Mark where you need to drill (measure twice, drill once).
Don't tighten down the mounting hardware completely until you're sure the fender is mounted correctly.

I've used etrailer in the past and have had a good experience. I am slightly disappointed in this shipment from the standpoint that the delivery date given was Saturday, so I had it shipped to my home because I knew I would be there when the package arrived. It didn't arrive until Wednesday, which meant I wasn't home. If I'd known that, I would have arranged for the product to be delivered to my work, which is who the parts were for anyway.

I used these on my small trailer to replace teh crappy ones it came with. I was able to bolt them in place and ended up weldign the top flat section to the angle iron when has provded a fantastic strudy surface at camp. the steel took primer and paint like a champ and I have zero rust

This fender was all it was advertised as, a quality part, well packaged and delivered very speedily.

I have not had time to install the brake controller but it too was well packaged and shipped promptly. It will just fit into the space that was formerly occupied by indicator panel that is no longer in the dash of my pickup.

I ordered for my trailer because I put new tires and wheels on my trailer that are larger than the fenders on the trailer presently. These fenders were great although I had to cut down some to make it work sijnce they were longer than I needed. These fenders worked great and now my trailer looks good and the size is perfect.

Nice steel unfinished fender to replace an aluminum fender ripped off my trailer by a tire tread thrown off a tire. As received, light surface rust in a couple of spots, expected on unfinished steel. Well packaged, quick handling and shipment. I also ordered a pair of brackets CE26098G-2, which are very heavy galvanized steel and Classic Accessories tire covers 052963762303, which appear to be very nice vinyl with a three year warranty. There was an issue with my credit card on the order page, quickly taken care of by Amanda in customer service. Now, if someone would just paint and mount the fender, all would be good.

Not as nice as they appear on the website. There is distortion at the corners from the bending process. Plus mine came pre dented, the packed mine with a trailer hitch receiver and 3 trailer jacks bouncing around in the same box.

Recently bought a Storm trailer only to find out they went out of business. During my travels I busted the driver side fender and couldn't find one in stock locally anywhere. Hopped on etrailer.com and found exactly what I needed for half the price local stores were offering for the "Wrong" fender. I wasn't in an extreme hurry so I opted for ground shipping (5-7 days) and after shortly after confirming my order I received an email saying they had already processed my order and upgraded me to express shipping (3-7 days). Then out of nowhere a UPS truck pulls up to my house the following day with my fender in hand.

Fenders look good, no dents or scratches, packaging good enough. Dimensionally correct, as advertised. These have better tire coverage than my OEM square trailer fenders, with longer ends and one inch wider. Rec'd them one day earlier then originally quoted using standard ground shipping, ordered on a Tuesday, at 10:30am and received on Thursday. Shipped out same day I purchased. Well satisfied, recommend etrailer to anyone and will buy from etrailer again.

Compatibility of Jeep Style Fender on Tear Camper
We have Jeep style trailer fenders but only for up to 15 inch wheels. We don't have any fenders for 17 inch wheels unless you are referring to the overall diameter of the tire versus the wheel/rim. Your trailer has Jeep style fenders. For your 14 inch wheels you'll want # HP76VR which measures 10 inches wide by 36 inches long by 19-1/4 inches tall. I went out in the warehouse and measured the etrailer Steel Trailer Fender, part # HP76VR. If you measured the width of the fender including the radius lip portion of the fender it is 10 inches wide everywhere. It is not narrower at the top. The 8-1/4 inch width is if you just measured the flat portion of the width not including the radius lip. See photo of the fender I am including that will show the measurements on the fender.

I went out into our warehouse and measured an etrailer Trailer Fender # HP76VR and found that from the ground straight up to the midpoint of the radius it measures 17-3/4 inches and measured from where the leg touches the ground to the midpoint of the radius it measures 19 inches. Trailer Fender Recommendation for an ATV Trailer
The Single Axle Trailer Fender # HP76VR that you referenced would work well on your ATV trailer, but these do not have a weight rating so I would not recommend you drive your ATV over them. There should be a way to load your ATV's without resorting to driving over the fenders. You might have to load them and then get off the ATV to reposition them by pulling them around.

The Jeep style Single Axle Trailer Fender, # HP76VR, is designed to be welded on. You might be able to use screws but you would have to use a lot of them all around the back lip of the fender.
