Wiring Needed to Wire Up Utility Trailer

Updated 06/15/2026 | Published 06/08/2026

Question:

I am restoring a 2008 16’ Corn Pro utility trailer. I would like to replace all the wiring. What wiring kits would you recommend for this project? Thanks

Hey Joe, a great place to start would be the etrailer junction box part # e99011. Installing this up front on the trailer gives you a good place to then run all of the circuits too for the trailer lights and brakes etc. You can also use jacketed wire like part # DW04906-1 that we sell by the foot if you want to carry more circuits back to the rear of the trailer in one bundle but generally you'd just run each circuit individually to the junction box. Be sure to use 10 gauge wire like part # 10-1-1 for the ground and brake output, and 12 volt accessory circuit.

I purchased the 7-way trailer wiring for my fifth wheel camper. I found this kit to be of good quality, and has held up well so far, and I am pleased with the product.
