Features to know about

Built for Daily Towing Confidence: Load Range B Strength Rated to 785 lbs at 60 psi

The Kenda K353 handles everyday hauling without breaking a sweat. Each tire supports up to 785 lbs when properly inflated to 60 psi, giving you steady capacity for repeated use. It’s a bias-ply design that exceeds Department of Transportation standards and is covered by a 5-year limited warranty plus a 1-year worry-free guarantee for replacement if it’s damaged within the first year.

Smooth Handling on Rough or Uneven Surfaces: Bias-Ply Construction with Nylon Cords

This tire’s bias construction uses thick nylon cords layered at a 30- to 45-degree angle, creating stiff sidewalls that help the whole tire flex together. That crisscross pattern adds strength and stability so the tire feels controlled and smooth even when you’re moving over gravel or uneven ground.

Ready for Real-World Loads and Long Miles: Tested to Exceed DOT Requirements

Every K353 is built to meet and surpass DOT standards for safety and reliability. With a section width of 4.8" and an outer diameter of 20.5" when inflated, it’s designed to fit 12" x 4" rims securely and maintain shape under load. The result is consistent performance mile after mile, from quick local runs to extended hauls.

Backed by Practical Protection: 1-Year Worry-Free Guarantee

Accidents happen, and Kenda covers you when they do. Within the first 12 months, if the tire is damaged in any way, it will be replaced at no charge. That kind of guarantee, combined with its proven bias construction and dependable load rating, makes the K353 an easy tire to trust on every trip.

Determining Bolt Pattern

1. Count the lug holes

Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).

Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug

2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)

Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.

Center to Center
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"

2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)

Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).

Center to Outside Edge
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Good tire and arrived fast

Only
complaint is both tires were so crushed it was a huge pain to mount.

by:

I have owned this kenda tire for over a year now and it's been flawless. No random bursts!!

by:

Very pleased with purchase, customer service and shipping speed.

by:

Price and shipping were very good. Excellent quality tire.

by:

Would have gave 5 stars but tires were smashed like a pancake. I think there’s room for improvement in picking the proper box size.

by:

very fast shipping, great product at a great price. Thanks, will use e-trailer again when needed!

by:

Excellent replacement tires for my boat trailer and reasonably priced.
Superb customer service from start to finish. Highly recommend this company to others.

by:

Great tires! Same tires that are currently on trailer. Never had a problem with them, only replacing as preventive maintenance due to age of ones on trailer now.

by:

Good looking tire to match the new ones I got from you. Will mount on wheel i have for spare. I always like having a spare when pulling a trailer and could not beat your price

by:

Website has good information as to how to select a trailer tire - very helpful. Prices are competitive. Shipping was fast.

by:

Thanks etrailer an on line company that has a great website, delivery taking system, and fast shipping.....and quality products.

by:

good ordering and delivery. I could of got my purchase cheeper but its nice to get it on time and in good shape. Last time I ordered tires they sent them with a wire tie all around one side and made them a bear to mount . BUT IT WASN'T FROM ETRAILER

by:

The trailer tires came very fast and I assume they are good tires. I know nothing about them. I got them for a boat trailer my deceased husband left to his son. I don't know when they will be put on the trailer.

by:

Exceptional experience! First time I ever purchased tires online and it was a breeze. The website is super user friendly and prices are really reasonable. I needed tires in a hurry for my waverunner trailer. Packaging was neat, secure and easy to move around (box included open handles). Extremely fast shipping too. I highly recommend etrailer and will be buying from them again and recommending them to all my family, friends and neighbors.

by:

Good looking wheels

by:

I have these tires on a camper trailer that I tow behind my motorcycle. The tires have gone over 9000 miles and show little wear. Typically the load on the tires is around 500 pounds. I am very pleased with them.

by:

I purchased chrome wheels and tires for my motorcycle trailer. Excellent products and quick delivery! I would definitely buy from etrailer.com again.

by:

The tires arrived quickly, as usual with e-trailer, and were exactly as ordered. My only "complaint" is that they were smashed flat as a pancake. They almost looked like bicycle tires; this made it difficult to seat the bead but a technique learned from the internet saved the day. I won't expound since it is not recommended and considered extremely dangerous/ill advised. I advise people not to buy these tires if they are going to mount them themselves and are not comfortable using a "shade tree" mechanic trick to seat the bead.

by:

This tire blew out on my first trip with it going 70MPH down I-75. It is rated as a high speed tire but did not hold up as one. Bought two tires and only one blew out.

These small Bias-Ply tires are OK to us on the highway but keep it to 55-60 mph. Between their size and construction, 70 mph is just too much.

by:

They look like new tires. I have used kenda on my bicycle for years but I'd have to put a few thousand miles on these before I rate them.
As usual, I appreciate the prompt service from Etrailer. Dave

I mounted them myself and had a local tire dealer balance them. One didnt require any wheel weights. They have about 5000 miles on them now and are smooth running, no visible wear. I like them.

I bought new tires and galvanized rims for my snow mobile trailer and boat trailer.
After one year I am still happy with my purchase. I also bought the Fulton 5K marine jack
And love it. I haven't had any trouble at all with tires, rims, or Jack.
Service was great too!

Delivered as promissed. Past reviews mentioned tires "flattened" in a box, thus hard to install...not the case with me. Very well packed in full size box so tires are in perfect condition ready to go right out of the box!

One year later and tires have been perfect. No problems.

by:

Well, they are black and they hold air. For the most part, they are also round all kidding aside. Found a local tire shop to mount them for me and they’ve been good.

by:

On my utility trailer I replaced both of the 20 year current tires and and the unused 45 year old spare tire from when I purchased the trailer new.

by:

The service I received was 5 star. I will have to write about the product at another time as I have not used the product yet . I will mount the new tires on the boat trailer tomorrow. The speed in which I received the product was so quick it actually surprised me. Thank you. New tires on the boat trailer is like having homemade ice cream with your grandparents on a Sunday afternoon. Nothing better.
Off to the lake tomorrow afternoon to catch a mess of crappie.

  • Replacement 4.80-12 Tires Needed For A Boat Trailer
Hey Mike, A load range C tire only having 450lbs of capacity, even at that size sounds a little low. Are you sure they're only rated for 450lbs max? If that really is the case then you're right on the edge of those tires capacity and the tow vehicle is likely picking up the rest of the weight via the tongue weight of the trailer. Could you possibly make it the 50 miles to your destination? Yes, but should you risk a blowout and potentially damaging or losing the boat, trailer, and possibly...

  • What is the Cold Inflation Pressure of a Loadstar 4.80-12 Tire
In order to determine the specific cold inflation pressure of your tires, I will need to know the load rating of the tire. The load rating or load range designation should be stamped on the tire. We carry two Loadstar 4.80-12 tires, a load range C tire, # AM10062, and a load range B tire, # AM10060. The inflation pressure will be different based on the load rating. The load range C tire can support a maximum load of 990 lbs at 90 psi and the load range B tire can support 785 lbs at 60...

Hey Andy, thanks for reaching out! The 15YB5 code isn't a standard tire size, but the Load Range B and 785 lb max weight rating is a good indicator that your tire size is likely 4.80-12 and if you can find that size printed on your tire then I recommend replacing them with the Kenda K353 Bias Trailer Tire - 4.80-12 - Load Range B # AM10060. If you end up finding that you have a different size, please let me know and I'll recommend something else that matches better!

Both tires # AM30670 and # AM30790 are Kenda tires but there are a number of differences. For starters they're different sized tires. The # AM30670 is a 4.80-12 sized tire and # AM30790 is a larger 5.30-12 sized tire. The latter being about 3/4 of an inch wider and over an inch larger in diameter. Also, they both have a C Load Range but the larger # AM30790 has a higher weight capacity at 1,045 pounds when inflated to 80 psi. The # AM30670 is rated up to 990 pounds at 90 psi. With...

  • 4.80-12 Trailer Tires Wearing in Middle Could it be 30 Inch Slipper Springs
Hi Gary, Yes, it is possible the bounce is causing the issue with your tires wearing out more in the middle. You may try lowering the psi in the tires to help stop the bouncing, or going with a lower-rated tire like the load range B Kenda # AM10060. This has a 785 lb per-tire capacity, and it is important to makes sure the tires have a capacity that meets or exceed the GVWR of your trailer. That can be tough with a homemade trailer, of course, so I recommend weighing it fully loaded to...

  • Looking to Replace My 4.80 x 12 Trailer Tires with Tires and Wheels with 4 on 4 Bolt Pattern?
Hello Scott, Your current tire 4.80 x 12 is a Bias tire with an outside diameter of 20.5" and a width of 4.8", the KR25 Radial tire (ST145/R12) with an outside diameter of 21.3" and a width of 5.7". If you have the extra clearance to go up a little in size, I would make the swap to the radial tires and go with the Kenda KR25 Radial Trailer Tire with 12" Aluminum HWT Wheel - 4 on 4 - Load Range D # AM31208HWT. We do not have the 4.80 x 12 already assembled on the wheel, so if you wanted...

Hey Justin! I'm not sure what those last 3 digits are for, but I'm thinking it has to do something with the assembly line they're made on or who it was that inspected them because the Combo # AM30590 you're looking at uses the tire # AM10060 and that last digit is different for each of them as well. A trailer's weight capacity is dependent on the weakest component in the system which could be the axle, the springs, the coupler or any other component. Kenda K353 Bias Trailer Tire - 4.80-12 - Load Range B # AM10060 is rated for a maximum of 65 miles per hour. Provided you stay under 65 you would be at a safe cruising speed. Trailer tires should always be inflated to the maximum psi indicated on the tire sidewall. This is because trailer tires are built with a thicker sidewall than passenger vehicle tires to handle more vertical load. If under inflated the thicker sidewall generates excessive heat and can lead to failure.
