Features to know about

Built for Heavy Loads and Highway Miles: Load Range D with 81-mph Speed Rating

This tire and wheel combo is made to handle serious towing. The Kenda Karrier ST175/80R13 radial tire is load range D with an 8-ply rating and a maximum load of 1,650 lbs at 70 psi. It’s paired with a 13" x 4-1/2" steel wheel rated for 1,725 lbs. The M speed rating (81 mph) and DOT compliance mean it’s built for long hauls and high-speed trips without worry about heat buildup or sidewall fatigue.

Stronger, Cooler, Longer Life: Radial Construction with Double Steel Belts

The Kenda Karrier radial design couples durability with highway comfort. It uses double steel belts and full nylon plies for long life and smooth performance. The radial cord pattern runs at a 90-degree angle, reducing rolling resistance and heat buildup compared to bias tires. That translates to longer tread life, improved steering stability, and dependable traction in wet or dry conditions.

Corrosion-Resistant Wheel Finish: Black Powder-Coated Steel

Moisture and road grime don’t stand a chance against the two-step finish on this steel modular wheel. An e-coat primer is topped with a black powder coat for lasting corrosion resistance and a clean look that holds up through seasons of use. The sturdy steel construction adds strength for hauling heavy gear while keeping the setup looking sharp.

Ready to Install and Backed by a Guarantee: Pre-Mounted Tire-and-Wheel Assembly

This assembly arrives mounted and aired up so you can bolt it on and get rolling right away—no mounting fees or extra shop time needed. It includes Kenda’s 5-year tire warranty plus a limited 1-year warranty on the wheel, along with a 1-year worry-free guarantee that covers replacement if the tire is damaged in the first 12 months.

Confident Fitment Every Time: 5 on 4-1/2 Bolt Pattern with Zero Offset

The wheel has a standard 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern, zero offset, and a 3.19" pilot diameter, making it straightforward to match with common hubs. Wheel bolt size is 1/2"-20, and overall tire dimensions are 7" section width with a 24.1" outer diameter when inflated—providing clear specs for an easy fit.

Determining Bolt Pattern

1. Count the lug holes

Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).

Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug

2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)

Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.

Center to Center
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"

2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)

Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).

Center to Outside Edge
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Made more sense to buy rims and tires than to buy tires and have them mounted!!! Nice looking rims!!!

by:

They look great on our little camper

by:

Great service I’m impressed with the customer service from the day you place your order till you receive it . I Purchased these wheels for zieman atv trailer they look great . Thank you

by:

Four Stars as I needed to have the wheels and tires balanced after the delivery.

by:

Ordered these as replacement tires on my Scamp camper when my previous (different brand) went bad after a year. They arrived well packed and ready to use. Making these a easy DIY tire project for me. Having the tire already mounted on the wheel made this so easy. I usually rely on tire shops, but was able to do this transition on my own. Have been towing with these for about a year probably about 5000 miles or so and still going good.

It's awesome these are still rolling strong for you, and were a breeze for you to install Jeanna! Any upcoming adventures planned?

Haven't had them long enough to rate th em

by:

These worked out great! Replaced a set of rims / tires on a pull behind air compressor (Sullair 185).

by:

Quick shipping, everything looked great, got what I expected which is nice. 5x8 utility trailer rolled so much better with these radials, a huge difference compared to the old bias plys that were original equipment. I like the black wheel, though realistic about the life of the steel in northeast salt. I coated inside of wheel with rust spray coating. Overall pleased.

by:

Needed better tires for our camper…these fit the bill. Ordered them on a Monday and they were delivered on Wednesday. Can’t beat that!

by:

Fast delivery and delivered right to my back gate at home.

These tires are for my travel trailer for the start of a 10,000 mile Alaska trip this summer.

I will post a review when I return.

Perfect fit on my 5x8 carryall trailer after installing a spring over axle bracket. Big upgrade from 4.8x12 than came originally. Plenty of fender clearance.

Upgraded my stock Carry-On 4x6G trailer to these 13" wheel/tire combos. Price was right, shipping was quick, wheels were in perfect shape and the tires were aired correctly with very fresh tread. Highly recommended.

  • Does etrailer Mount Wheels and Tires
Hi Jimm; mounting wheels and tires is not something we are able to do. The only way to get them mounted from us is if it is listed as a wheel and tire combo. If you purchase the Dexstar Steel Mini Mod Trailer Wheel # AM20245 and Karrier ST185/80R13 # KE68KV you will have to mount it yourself or take it to a local shop.

  • Recommended 13" Wheel Tire Combo w/ a 5 on 4-1/2 Lug Pattern
Hey Nick! To go up to a 13" wheel tire combo, I recommend the Kenda Karrier ST175/80R13 Radial Trailer Tire item # AM31990. I checked on Carry-On's website and it looks like all their wheels have 5 on 4-1/2 lug patterns which is what this one has. The Kenda item # AM31990 is a load range D tire with a 1,650 lbs at 70 psi. It has a speed rating of M which tops out at 81 mph. What's going to be pretty important is the overall diameter of this tire. It measures 24.1". You'll want to compare...

  • Availability Of 175/80-13 Tires With Load Range E
Hey Michael, thanks for reaching out. We do offer some 175/80-13 tires but load range D will be the highest available. There are no load range E tires in this size. For example, what I recommend is the Kenda Karrier ST175/80R13 Radial Trailer Tire with 13" Black Mod Wheel # AM31990. This comes on a 5 on 4-1/2" wheel and has a D load range so a 1,650-lb maximum load at 70 psi. With no load range E options out there, this tire will be your best bet for the size you need.

  • Does Kenda Karrier ST175/80R13 Radial Trailer Tire & Black Wheel Come Balanced
Hi Bud, The Kenda Karrier ST175/80R13 Radial Trailer Tire with 13" Black Mod Wheel # AM31990 does not come balanced, though you can easily do so with the Counteract Tire Balancing Beads Single Pack for Trailers # CA66VR. These beads install right through the valve stem so it's simple to do; just keep in mind one bag is good for one tire so you'll need two bags if you are replacing both tires on your trailer.

  • Recommended 16" Trailer Wheel Upgrade for a 2023 Rockwood 8337RL
David, ideally you'd want to keep that minimum of 3" of clearance you have, and upgrading to larger tires is going to decrease that. You can still upgrade your wheels to a 16" wheel like you're wanting to while still using the same size tire with the Goodyear Wrangler LT225/75R16 Off-Road Tire w 16" Liger Aluminum Wheel # LH42FR. These are 225/75/16 tires that use a 6 on 5 1/2" bolt pattern, and has a 2,680 lb capacity (at 80 PSI).

  • Can Trailer Tire Size 20.5x8-10 be Upgraded to 13 inch Tire Size
Hey Paul, so your current tire size is 20.5 inch in diameter and the smallest diameter 13 inch trailer tire diameter is 175/80-13 which is 24.1 inches. So that is a difference of 3.6 inches and since that gets split on either side of your wheel diameter you'd lose fender clearance by 1.8 inches. Most likely that's not a big deal but you'd want to measure to be sure. The part # AM31990 would work great if the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-1/2 inch or part # AM3S130 if you have a 4 lug bolt pattern.

  • Replacement for 165/70R13 Tire and Wheel on Trailer
Hi Tyler; if you can find another 165/70R13 that would be the best option so you don't have to worry about a difference in clearance. However, this is not a size that we carry. An ST175/80R13 like the # AM31990 is the closest we have and has a similar width but a larger outer diameter. You can expect to lose 0.2" of clearance on the inside, which is negligible, and approximately 1" of clearance on the top. You need at least 3" on top for your typical suspension travel so as long as you...

It sure is Charles! We have people put smaller tires on their trailers quite often for storage purposes. The issue I have is that the 175/65 R15 is a vehicle tire not a trailer tire so I do not have one to offer you. The closest comparable size I have is the Kenda Karrier ST175/80R13 Radial Trailer Tire with 13" Black Mod Wheel item # AM31990, you were looking at. The ST175/80R13 item # AM31990 is going to be .07" taller than the 175/65 R15. This wheel tire combo has a 5 on 4-1/2 lug pattern....

The 175/80-13 is 2.8" taller and 1.3" wider. Upgrading wheels on a trailer is a pretty common thing to do, but you want to make sure you have the space to do so. Hey William, the great thing about trailer wheels is that they are always zero offset so you don't need to consider that when picking out a replacement solution. The other thing that is nice is that basically all 5 lug trailer wheels are 5 on 4-1/2 inch like what the part # AM31990 that you referenced has. So this would be a great solution to take with you for bringing the trailer home.
