Features to know about

Reliable Visibility in Wet Conditions: Fully Submersible and Sealed Design

This 6-1/2" x 2-1/4" Optronics tail light is made to handle the conditions that would ruin most lights. The housing and red lens are sonically sealed into a single waterproof unit, so it stays completely submersible without letting water inside. That means you can count on it to keep working even if your trailer sees the ramp or spends time on wet roads.

Built Tough for Everyday Use: Shock-Proof Socket and Durable Lens

The shock-proof socket protects the incandescent bulb from vibration and impact, keeping the light reliable over rough roads. Both the lens and housing are made from tough polycarbonate, which resists cracking and damage from debris. It’s a sturdy setup that takes everyday bumps in stride while keeping your stop, tail, and turn signals clear and bright.

Clean Setup Without Rewiring: Flush-Mount, Industry-Standard Connections

Installation is straightforward thanks to the recessed design that fits flush into a grommet mount (A70GB sold separately). It accepts an industry-standard 3-prong plug such as the A45PB or A47PB, so wiring is simple—no splicing or guessing which wire goes where. The light runs on 12V DC power with a 2.4-amp draw for stop/turn and 0.50-amp draw for tail functions.

Recessed mount Optronics trailer tail light installed flush in trailer surface with red oval lens.

Direct Replacement for Common Trailer Lights: Easy Upgrade Path

If you’re swapping out an old or broken unit, this light matches several popular models exactly, including Uni Bond #SE2238R, Wesbar #203561, Truck Lite #60202R, Grote #52182, Peterson #421R, and Bargman #40-06-001. Just pop out the old one, plug in this replacement, and get back to having dependable lighting with DOT compliance already built in.

I bought a trailer a year ago and it had some lights out, i tried going locally for replacements but couldn't find what i needed, tried etrailer online and they had the lights for my particular trailer that were exact replacements, i ended up going with the led option and they are still going strong today! etrailer is now my go to site for anything and everything trailer, Thank You etrailer!

I wish I had a picture of the signal
light flashing.

Attached is a picture of my 1958 Alumniacrafet w/Linex inside, Powdercoat outside, and new oak seats.

I was going to take it on the maiden voyage and realized the lights on the trailer had burned out. Luckily etrailer's website was very easy to use and offered a plug and play replacement.

The parts arrived to NW Montana on time. My wife and I were able to see the Arctic Grayling spawning up Rogers Creek from Lake Rogers in NW Montana. Thousands of fish in a four foot wide, ice cold stream, narrowly escaping a sow black bear that was eating only the cheek fat and leaving the rest for the bald eagles.

by:

bought as a spare, but exact replacement

by:

Who is the right item great shipping and great customer service thank you

Great job on the install Tim! Glad we had the right light for you!

by:

Alex let me explain my ratings, the service is very good but it is not easy to rate the product which is a totally sealed product which by the looks of it is fine even so it could have a pinhole which lets water in like one of the units I replaced. So I would suggests you only ask for the rating an the service you provide to the customer and not the product.

by:

Exact replacement for a 30 year old trailer. Swapped out both lights in 10 minutes.

by:

I loaded the page for this part from my search engine and it was exactly what I needed. The price was very competitive and the shipping was reasonable. My parts arrived on time and in good condition. I had no trouble installing them and I’m very happy with the experience.

  • Correcting Hyperflashing After Installation LED Taillights on 2004 Dodge Ram 3500
In order to stop your turn signals and brake lights from hyperflashing with your LED taillights, you will want to install LED Light Bulb Load-Resistors on the turn light and brake signal wires. Hyperflashing is a common issue when changing incandescent bulbs to LEDs. One of my fellow Experts put LEDs on his Dodge 2500 and ran into the same issue. He used the #DI34ZR Load-Resistors on his truck to solve the hyperflasing issue. I've attached an installation video of these load resistors...

Hey John! It looks like that light they're using is the Truck Lite 60202R. You can replace it with the Optronics Trailer Tail Light # ST70RB. If you want a replacement grommet to go with it use the # A70GB. The way it is mounted you will have to pop it out by either getting behind it or prying it out with something like a screwdriver like you suggested. Where do you typically take your snowmobile?

  • How to Remove Lens From Utility Trailer Turn Signal to Check Bulb
Hey Doug, thanks for reaching out! Most trailer turn signal lights will either had screws you have to remove, like the Optronics kit # TLL160RK, or a pop-off lens like the Optronics # ST70RB where you'll use a screwdriver to find a good spot to pry the lens off. Each light is different though so if you can't figure it out from either of those feel free to shoot me some photos of your light(s) and I can see if we have any info on it!

Not really. They're just made by different companies. The 3-Wire Pigtail for Optronics Trailer Lights item # A45PMB and the Peterson item # 417-49 are both made out of 20 gauge wire. They each have the female weathertight plug and are 10" long. I would go with the most affordable option.

Yes, the Optronics Trailer Light, # STL70RB, will replace the Wesbar 203561 to upgrade to LED lights. You will want to check the factory grommet when you remove the light, if the factory grommet is in good condition you can use it with the LED upgrade. If the factory grommet is worn or shows any signs of damage, now is the time to replace it. You would use the Optronics Rubber Grommet, # A70GB. Same thing on the 3-prong plug connector, check it also to make sure it is in good condition....

Even if your Bargman light has a different part number, # ST70RB will very likely work. The dimensions of the light are 6-1/2 inches long x 2-1/4 inches wide x 2-3/8 inches deep.
