The push-down rubber strips on the Yakima bars let you press your carrier hardware straight into the channels, no trimming needed. Once in place, the strips close around your mounts to keep things tight and sealed against wind and weather.

Tghe racks have remained on since I installed them correctly, no thanks to your video. I read the manual it came with.
