This Yakima setup gives you a ready-to-go system for carrying gear on a bare roof. It includes 2 JetStream crossbars, 4 BaseLine towers, and a custom fit kit that installs cleanly on your vehicle’s naked roof. The aluminum construction keeps the setup strong yet lightweight, and the 165-lb weight capacity gives you plenty of room for cargo boxes, kayaks, or camping gear.
When you’re driving long distances, wind noise can wear you down fast. The aero-style JetStream crossbars keep airflow smooth to help reduce that noise and vibration. The rubber strips that run along the top channels push down around mounts to keep airflow clean without needing to trim anything. It’s a simple design that helps your drive stay quieter and more relaxed.
Some racks make you cut rubber strips before you can mount accessories, but these don’t. The push-down design lets you press your gear’s mounting hardware right into the tracks—no cutting required. When you’re done, the strips spring back into place to seal the channel and keep it sleek. It saves time every time you swap between carriers or boxes.
Whether it’s a paddleboard trip, a winter ski run, or a family road trip with extra luggage, this rack works with most universal cargo, water, snow, and bike carriers. The top channels fit channel-mount accessories while the bar shape also supports clamp-around mounts. You can load up whatever gear your next adventure calls for without worrying about compatibility.
You can add Yakima Same Key System (SKS) lock cores (sold separately) to secure the rack when parked. One key can handle all lock points, keeping your crossbars safe whether you’re at a trailhead or stopping overnight on the road. It’s an easy way to protect your investment between trips.

Tghe racks have remained on since I installed them correctly, no thanks to your video. I read the manual it came with.
