This Curt trailer hitch receiver gives you the flexibility to tow light trailers or mount racks and carriers without overdoing it. With a 2,500 lb maximum gross trailer weight and 250 lb tongue weight rating, it’s built for light-duty hauling but still strong enough for everyday use. The 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" receiver opening works with Class I and II accessories, so you can hook up cargo trays, tow small trailers, or mount a hanging-style bike rack for up to four bikes.
The hitch body is made from fully welded steel that’s precision-built with robotic welding for consistent strength and a tight fit. A gloss black powder coat is layered over a protective base coat that guards against rust and road wear. The round-tube design keeps things looking clean under the bumper while providing solid support when loaded down for a trip or work run.
You don’t need a lift or welding setup to get this hitch on your vehicle. The bolt-on installation uses factory mounting points, so there’s no drilling required. It comes with all the necessary hardware and clear instructions to make the process straightforward for a do-it-yourself install in the driveway. Once bolted up, you’re ready to connect a drawbar, pin, and clip (sold separately) and hit the road knowing the hitch is fitted securely in place.

Flawlessly It’s still looking new, a quick shot of wd40 to the inside of receiver hole keeps installation and removal smooth and all surfaces fresh looking

Still a great product one year later! We have a Curt Trailer Hitch on both our cars. The only way to transport bikes. My brother-in-law got one for Mazda Miata after seeing ours. He loves his too!

Natalie, thank you for your review. I am not sure what accessory you are putting in the hitch but an anti-rattle device such as part # RM-061-125 should help tighten up the play.

Working well. I bought the hitch and wiring kit for my 2008 Matrix. Towed a small trailer carrying a Honda Elite scooter from FL to CA with no problems. The hitch and wiring were pretty easy to install and I am not a mechanic.

This has been a great product. No rust and still cleans up well.
