This Kwikee 28 Series electric step gives you a stable 23-5/8" wide x 10-1/2" deep platform with a 7-1/2" drop/rise, so stepping up feels natural and secure. The tread surface has built-in non-slip texture and reflective strips to help you see it clearly in low light. With a 300 lb weight capacity, it stays firm with no flex when you step on it.
The included 12V motor extends and retracts the step smoothly when you flip the in-cab switch. The motor and gearbox are built to handle daily use without strain. It’s a straightforward setup—no control module needed—so you can run the step manually exactly when you want it out or stowed.
The step frame is made from sturdy, powder-coated steel that stands up to dirt, moisture, and road spray. Solid steel drive rods and stainless steel bushings keep the mechanism tight and smooth over time. Weatherproof wiring and sealed rivets at pivot points hold up well through seasons of travel and rough conditions.
A built-in safety feature stops and retracts the step if it hits an obstacle while extending. It also pulls the step in automatically when the ignition turns on, preventing it from being left out while driving. These safeguards help avoid damage and add peace of mind whenever you’re on the move.
The mounting plate measures 24-1/4" wide x 8-5/8" deep with a 22" x 6-1/2" bolt pattern, which lines up with standard Kwikee setups. A 4-way plug connects to your existing harness, and a pigtail is included if you need to hardwire. Extended height is 9-5/8", folded height is 6", making it compact yet sturdy for everyday use.

Steps look nice but they don't fit my RV Too short

company cannot even afford 4 bolts for mounting. no installation instructions, no warranty card. minimum basic customer service is no existent

I was expecting the steps, the motor and the controller. After looking at the pictures, I spotted the arm assembly in the gearbox.
I called to verify if that was part of the price. It was! I didn’t have to use the gearbox and the arm assembly from my old steps!

The part sent was incorrect, so here we go in other week with an ambulance down. I’ll recap they sent the incorrect step we used it anyway because we wanted something to assist people to enter the ambulance, the switch with the unit they sent was defective it took a half hour on the phone from the service person to understand that, they sent the wrong switch so I spent a half an hour on hold then spoke with the person for 20 minutes, they were supposed to get back to me letting me know they figured out the correct switch and they have not. We’ll see what tomorrow brings?

To add the automatic open and close feature when the doors open on the RV you would need part # LC379146. For the light kit to be added you would need # LC379414.

Timely delivery.
The steps itself work great as far as the delivery when I received them the box was torn and part of the frame was bent.Iwad able to straighten it what I would recommend is better packaging or a different carrier.
Upon opening the box, I bench tested the 28 series steps and they worked perfectly. Once the older steps were removed, the installation went easily. I used a floor jack to lift and hold the 28 series steps in place thus allowing me to Mount them alone.
