Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look together at this Kwikee replacement light kit. Now, this is going to replace the incandescent light on your Kwikee Electric Steps. On your screen, you see the series of steps that this is going to fit. So if you have one of those series of steps from Kwikee, this light will work for you. Now, this light does have an incandescent bulb.
And I'm just kind of holding on the lens here so I can easily remove it. Lemme go ahead and connect that power again. So you can see the bulb right there, lemme light that up there for you again. So that incandescent bulb is going to light up your steps for entering and exiting your RV in the dark. And this amber lens is going to be able just to pop off for access to that bulb, in case you ever need to replace it.
So you'll just snap that on firmly after you have this installed. And then when you need to replace that bulb, you can just simply pop this off. This is going to be a very simple installation underneath the step-mounting plate, with the included hardware that you see there. And this single wire is gonna make it very easy to plug into the step motor system. And lemme go ahead and give you some overall dimensions, just so you have a good idea of the size.
I'm gonna just turn this over here, it might be a little bit easier to line up my ruler. So looking at the overall diameter, if we wanna get real precise, we're sittin' right at about two and 13/16ths inches in diameter. And then looking at the overall depth, this is gonna be a little bit off because I don't have that lens popped all the way in place, but we're sittin' pretty close to about one-and-1/8th-inches deep. And then you might be wondering about those mounting holes. Lemme see if I can give you a measurement of those on center.
Finding that up there so you can see. It looks like we're sittin' right at about one and 1/2 inches on center. It looks like my light bulb popped out, lemme just pop that back into place, just like that. So that's gonna be very easy to replace if you ever need to do that. And if you're wondering about the length of the wire as well, that might be helpful to show. (ruler thudding) It looks like we're sitting right at 13-inches long. This is a 13-inch ruler, so 13-inches long on that wire. So if you are needing to replace the incandescent light on your Kwikee Electric RV Steps and ya have one of those series of steps, then this is going to be just what ya need. It was in Stock and shipped right away. Will come here first the next time we are looking for a part for the RV.

Same as original. Install was easy. Still works. Wish it luminated the steps. Also a clear brighter light would be better.
I ordered this light with my new step motor upgrade kit yesterday afternoon. It arrived today about 10AM. Very easy install and not I have a light for my steps when I open the door. Great addition as we try to camp in dark areas to star watch,
