Question:
I recently purchased a used motorhome that had previously had an automatic electric step but had been bent so the previous owner took out the motor and all other components and just used the step manually after cutting off all the wires from the coach. I have since purchased a 28 single step Kwikee and all that came with it was a plug with 2 wires. I would think that it would still work but not in conjunction with the door opening. I think I need a controller as there is a lot more than 2 wires from the coach. Could you confirm that I require a controller and if so what model I would require. I appreciate any help you can give me and look forward to a speedy response.

For your Lippert Series 26 step, I recommend the Lippert Components Kwikee Step power switch and door kit # LC369311 and then using controller # LC379146. Then you will also add the Lippert Components Kwikee Step Replacement Light # LC379414. This will work the single step # LC3747451 which comes with gears and motor only.
If you are unsure of the current gear box and motor, then you would use the complete kit # LC379769.
