Question:

What would you say If i was thinking of putting this on my 05 GMC envoy? Wife unable to get into the truck. Understandably it will not be a simple bolt on project

I have a really great option for adding a step to allow for easier access into your 2005 GMC Envoy, however I don't think the Kwikee Electric RV Step # LC3747451 that you referenced is going to work well. It's going to require an awful lot of modification to the Envoy, with the addition of having to wire it up to the battery for power. I don't think there's going to be enough mounting space under the vehicle for the brackets, either.

A much better option is going to be with a simple but durable hoop step like the Carr # CARR124031-1, which is actually confirmed to fit your Envoy. This would simply get bolted to the rocker panels beneath the passenger side door to provide a wide 17" long step with a 5" depth and a 500 pound weight capacity. If you wanted to add one to both sides of the vehicle you could go with the part # CARR124031, which includes two steps.
