Video Transcript for Camco Horizontal 2-Stage Propane Regulator Review

Today we're going to be taking a lot at part number CAM59323. This is the Camco horizontal two stage propane regulator. This regulator is going to maintain a constant gas pressure from your camper's propane tank. Two stages are going to ensure a smooth, consistent flow of gas. This is a horizontal mount. We can tell that because the vent is here on the bottom, and your vent is always designed to be facing downward to prevent anything from getting inside. The inlet is going to feature a quarter inch NPT connector that's a simple female pipe thread.

The outlet is going to feature a three eighth inch NPT connector, again, female pipe thread. The unit is going to maintain a constant eleven inch water column propane pressure. This is rated for a hundred and sixty thousand BTU per hour. It is CSA listed. Keep in mind, again, that the vent opening should always face downward, and when installing this using a mounting bracket, if the existing holes don't align with the regulator, you can use the provided mounting template. That's going to be on the back side of the packaging, and you can use that to drill new holes, and then attach the regulator with the screws included in the package. That's going to do it for today's look at part number CAM59323..

the replacement part worked perfectly...out with the old one and new one fit in it's place...stove now works great!

by:

Fast shipping. Does what it supposed to.

by:

Works well and have no problems with it

by:

I had to use more than I would normally of plumber's tape to seal the threads . I was worried about stripping the threads .

by:

I like this one better than the single stage. This regulator seems to last long than the single stage.

by:

The part we needed and quick shipping as well as a good price.

by:

Exact match. Have yet to install. This regulator will be replacing original equipment LP
regulator that's over 30 yrs old. Time to service along with balance of gas line.

by:

Purchased this product to replace leaking regulator on my motorhome. product works as designed. Great response and delivery.

by:

Product failed after 6 months and had to order a higher quality product. I would not recomend this product. Was a waste of money and horrible quality. Left me freezing cold and with out a refrigerator or stove for over two months waiting for back order of higher quality product

by:

Timely shipping, installed and working. Will shop etrailer again.

by:

Service and product choice is great at etrailer. We usually go there first to check product availabity and haven't been disappointed.

by:

Works great on the Brew stand I made for my son. This regulator supply's the lp gas to the three banjo burners very evenly even when the tank is almost empty.

by:

Well, this is my second Camco regulator in just less than a year. I've heard reports of them being not so great, and mine stopped working (no gas gets through at all) after about 11 mos of (of course) mostly doing nothing but sitting on my trailer.

I bought the Marshall Excelsior regulator instead, and we'll see how it holds up. It looks almost exactly like the Camco, like it could be made from the same castings! So maybe it will have the same life :( Only time will tell.

by:

Well, it still works...make sure you get the plastic cap. It would have been nice if I would have seen it when I ordered it, so I didn’t have to make two orders, and pay shipping twice.,,

by:

I ordered this regulator and was very pleased with prompt shipping and was exactly as described in add.Good product, bolted right in on my pop-up and was on my way camping with heat for winter again.

by:

The regulator failed after 3 months of use. It was in a dry enclosed propane locker and was properly installed. Do not buy this product.

by:

Great service and good product.

by:

fast shipping with the correct parts

  • Best Propane Regulator for a 2015 Coachmen Clipper 17BH
The MB Sturgis Horizontal 2-Stage Propane Regulator part # 108221 and the Camco Horizontal 2-Stage Propane Regulator part # CAM59323 are both horizontal mount two stage regulators. You will not have any problems using either of them on your 2015 Coachmen Clipper 17BH. However, I recommend the MB Sturgis regulator as it can handle more Btu's in addition to having the capability of reducing water columns down to 9" which will allow for proper function in extremely cold temperatures. The Camco...

  • Replacement Regulator for a Marshall 230 Propane Regulator
The replacement we have for your Marshall 230 Model Gas Regulator is the Vertical 2-Stage Propane Regulator - 160,000 Btu/Hr # CAM59313. If yours is still working fine I wouldn't recommend messing with it unless you are going to replace it altogether. Either way I can't advise you to use your regulator in a way that's not intended.

  • Can a Dual Propane Tank Regular be Used with Just One Tank
Camco Automatic Changeover 2-Stage Propane Regulator for Dual Propane Tanks # CAM59005 has a valve on top that will automatically switch to a full tank so you could use it with one tank and it would just always be open to that tank. But if you will always be using one tank we have 2-stage regulators # CAM59313, # CAM59323, or # CAM59333 for a single propane source and they would be more ideal than the dual tank option.

Yes, you can use hard and soft nose POL propane cylinder adapters interchangeably unless otherwise specified by the manufacturer of the product you are using it on. However, I can give fittings/advice based on my experience with the above. If the deep fryer you are using has a built-in regulator then an additional one at the tank would only cause problems because it further reduces the water columns to a point that the deep fryer would not be able to function. Therefore, I don't...

  • Troubleshooting Connection Between A 2-Stage Regular And 20lb Propane Tank
Typically most 2-stage regulators like the # CAM59323 will have a 1/4" NPT inlet connection which would allow you to connect a POL fitting like # 37207-30085 to connect to the inner threads of the 20lb tank. If this is what you have and you're still having issues with the threads not gripping it could be that the threads on either the tank or the fitting are stripped. You can combat this by taking off the POL fitting and using a type-1 fitting like the # CAM59923 which will thread into...
