Your automatic changeover regulator needs a pigtail from each propane cylinder. This 2-pack gives you both 15" hoses, connecting two Type I cylinder valves to the regulator's 1/4" female inverted flare inlets.

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at these MEC RV Propane Pigtail Hoses. Now these pigtail hoses are designed for an RV propane system that uses two propane cylinders with an automatic changeover regulator. And since each cylinder needs its own connection to the regulator, this package is going to give you two matching 15-inch long hoses, giving you both pigtails needed for that setup. Now on the propane tank side, you're going to get this green Type 1 Acme nut.
The hand wheels I'm sure you're familiar with is going to thread onto a compatible propane cylinder valve by hand. So you don't need a wrench for that connection. On the regulator side, the hose has a quarter of an inch male inverted flare fitting. So that means your regulator needs compatible quarter-inch female inverted flare inlets. And as I mentioned, each hose is going to be right at 15 inches long with a quarter of an inch inside diameter, and each hose has a flow capacity of up to 200,000 BTU per hour.
And these thermoplastic hoses are UL- and CGA-approved for propane service, and they're rated for a working pressure of up to 350 PSIG, and they have a 400 pound pull test rating. So the biggest benefit of these hoses is that it's specifically set up for a dual cylinder application. So instead of purchasing two separately, you're going to get both hoses together with one running from each propane cylinder to your automatic changeover regulator.
