Video Transcript for Review of MEC Propane Fittings - 3/8 Inch Female Flare Swivel 12 Inch Long Propane Hose - MEC47UR

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this MEC 3/8-inch female flare swivel, 12-inch long propane hose. So this propane hose is going to be a short high-pressure propane hose. It's designed for a pretty specific connection. So a 12-inches long and this has a 3/8-inch female flare swivel fitting on both ends.

This is meant to connect two propane components that each have 3/8-inch male flare fitting. And I mentioned, this was right at 1 foot long. Let me put a ruler up to it just to confirm that with you so I hope you can see. So it's going to make sense when the two propane components are mounted fairly close together and you don't want a lot of extra hose between them. The swivel fittings on both ends are also going to give you some movement at the connection while hooking everything up.

And this is made for high-pressure propane service. The thermoplastic hose has a working pressure rating of up to 350 PSIG, and this is UL and CGA approved. It also has thermal protection and fully crimped brass barrels, and a 400-pound pull test rating. So the hose itself has a 3/8-inch inside diameter. So when determining whether this is going to work for your particular setup, the main things to check are going to be the fittings, the required hose length and the system pressure.

And as I mentioned, both ends of this hose are 3/8-inch female flare. So the components it connects to need to be compatible with 3/8-inch male flare fittings. So this will fit. I think it's going to wrap up our quick look today. Again, my name's Andy.

Thank you for joining me.
