by:

Perfect and simple item.
It was easy
to install. I purchased an accessory with receiver opening of 2” and my jeep had 1 1/4 receiver.

by:

I love it! It’s allowed me to use a 2 inch bike rack on the back of my sedan in a safe manner.

by:

Adapter is solid. I used it to raise up the cargo basket since I have a lower riding vehicle. Still have to take it very easy over speed bumps but without the rise I would def be hitting the basket on the ground in my vehicle. Works great with the another rattle hitch lock and curt trailer hitch for my 2010 Honda insight. Thank you!

by:

I was looking for something like this for my 1 1/4 Reciever.
My biggest concern was your 2 inch Adapter would hit the Car's rear Rubber Bumper....it cleared by 1/4 inch on my 2016 Ford Focus, so I'm happy.
I think I purchased the Trailer Hitch from your company, and use it for a Bicycle Rack.
With this Adapter, I can look into other Hitch Accessories.

by:

Exactly what I needed to haul deer! The 5" rise & quality is exceptional!

To be honest it needs to have a longer toung where the pin goes through. Wont fit because of it being so short so had to drill a second pin hole which puts it close to the 1st pin hole.

by:

Can’t use it because the hitch is broke n.

by:

didn't work on my car it hit the bumper . wasn't long enough

by:

Great adapter, tight & strong. My hitch trailer was hanging too low & etrailer expedited my order to help me get in time for a return trip thanks, Lori B!

by:

Perfect fit on my 2014 mitsubishi mirage DE trailer hitch

by:

Heavy duty for sure

by:

First time use of eTrailer. Very pleased. I received both items. The 2 items were shipped promptly and received as promised. I would use ETrailer again.

by:

1997 Lexus ES 300. Perfect fit, great construction, exactly what I needed, really nice price, fast shipping and I didn’t have to build it!!! Thanks etrailer.

by:

Looks like it will work well to raise up the bicycle carrier on our Subaru

by:

I only had one problem. I can't get the adapter all of the way in because in runs into the bumper. The fit is very tight and I am sure it will work as long as I use a supporting chain.

by:

The hitch was easy to install, took about 10 minutes. The 1 1/4 inch to 2 inch adapter didn’t go all the way into the 1 1/4” hole. I dad to grind it down to fit then I repainted it, I hope it does not rust , that will make it really stick,

by:

It was easy to find what I needed, and it arrived in only a couple of days. Excellent quality and service.

by:

Item arrived on time in great condtion.

by:

Nice heavy duty piece, gong to be used for my fathers scooter.

by:

The ride of this product was just right to protest our bicycles from the exhaust heat from our Subaru.

by:

GOOD QUALITY. NICE PART

by:

Nice hitch,Really strong

by:

Works great. Gives me the hitch height I need

by:

Did not fit into correct hitch counterpart, needs to be filed in order to fit, as the metal variance is too large in some spots.

by:

Fits perfect and helps raise the cargo carrier higher off the ground in my car.

  • Will the Trailer Hitch Adapter - 1-1/4" to 2" Hitch - 4-1/2" Drop/5" Rise Work with a Bike Rack
The Trailer Hitch Adapter part # e93YR can be used to raise a bike rack off the ground more to provide greater ground clearance. It will as you said reduce the hitch's capacity by 50% so as long as the weight of the bike rack and bike is under half the hitches capacity you will be good to go. The 1-1/4" to 2" adapter on the bike rack won't pose any issues either.

  • Can 1-1/4 to 2 inch Hitch Adapter # e93YR Work on 2010 Honda Civic
You would need to take one measurement to determine if the hitch adapter part # e93YR would fit your 2010 Honda Civic. You would need to measure from the center of your hitch pin hole out to the outer edge of your bumper. If that dimension is less than 2-3/4 inches this would fit without hitting the bumper.

I have also attached for you below a few measurements we have listed, if you need one you don't see just let me know what that is and I'll be glad to see if we can obtain this for you. Distance between hitch pin holes (center to center): 6-1/2" Distance from receiver end to center of nearest pin hole: 2-1/4" Distance from accessory end to center of nearest pin hole: 2-1/2"

  • 1-1/4 Inch To 2 Inch Trailer Hitch Adapter For A 2009 Ford Focus
Yes, The Trailer Hitch Adapter # e93YR will work as the rise version for your 2009 Ford Focus. This adapter is made out of a durable steel that has a matte black powder coat finish that helps resist corrosion. The hitch adapter has a 5 inch rise and a 4-1/4 inch drop with an overall length of 11-1/4 inches. Using this adapter will reduce your hitch's weight capacity by 50 percent, and is not meant to be used as a towing application. I attached a review video link below.

  • 1-1/4" Trailer Hitch Riser For 1-1/4" Hitch Mounted Accessories
The Trailer Hitch Adapter # e93YR is the closest extender/riser to the Trailer Hitch Extender # e68YR you found. The adapter does change from the 1-1/4" receiver to a 2" receiver for the accessory. You would need the Reducer # e63YR to get back down to a 1-1/4" receiver. Be sure to consider both the extender you found and the adapter that I gave you above will reduce the capacity of the receiver by 50%.

As long as you have a hitch with a 1-1/4" receiver like the # 36600 on your 2023 Kia Niro you can use the # e93YR. Keep in mind, this is only for accessories and will reduce the capacity of your hitch by 50%.

For a hitch mounted cargo carrier that can fit the 1-1/4 inch hitch of your Cadillac XTS we have the Reese part # 63155 which would work really well. It has a 300 lb weight capacity, measures 20 inch by 47 inch and has a rise built into the shank to help with ground clearance.

The only trailer hitch options available for a 2017 Ford Mustang GT are class I, the Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 24928 is what I recommend. It has a 1-1/4" opening which works great for towing or hitch mounted accessories like bike racks and cargo carriers. If you have a bike rack with 2" shank you'll need an adapter like the Trailer Hitch Adapter part # e93YR just keep in mind these reduce weight capacity by 50%.

  • Will The Curt Receiver and etrailer Adapter Allow Me to Carry a Mobility Scooter?
The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11576 for your 2018 Toyota Camry is rated for up to 200lbs of tongue weight. The Trailer Hitch Adapter # e93YR cannot be welded onto your hitch, and it would indeed reduce the tongue weight of your Class I hitch by 50 percent, from 200 lbs to 100 lbs. There is unfortunately just no way to use your Sport Rider bike rack with your Class I hitch, and I certainly know it's not what you want to hear but the only thing you may be able to do is use a different bike rack, and the bike rack that fits a Class I hitch with the highest capacity is 65 lbs per bike, the Thule...

  • Is There a 2" Trailer Hitch Available for a 2018 Buick Encore
The only trailer hitch options available or that will be available for a 2018 Buick Encore are class I, 1-1/4" like the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C11527 which is what I recommend. That said, if you need a larger opening you can use an adapter like the Trailer Hitch Adapter part # e93YR or part # e43YR. Please note, these adapters do reduce capacity so you'll need to keep that in mind. Unfortunately, as the Buick Encore is a small crossover there's no need for the larger receiver...

  • Can Hitch Adapter be Used for Bike Rack on 1-1/4" Hitch Receiver
Great question! There are adapters like our 1-1/4" - 2" Adapter # e93YR that will technically let you install a bike rack with a 2" shank on a 1-1/4" hitch receiver but pretty much every bike rack company states not to use an adapter (other than their own brand) to keep from voiding the warranty. If your vehicle is the 2007 Toyota Camry you had in the fitguide it looks like they only make 1-1/4" trailer hitch receivers for this vehicle but if you let me know what bike racks you're interested...

  • Is There a 2" Trailer Hitch for a 2016 Honda Civic Sedan
I do have an option for you but there are not any class III, 2" trailer hitches for a 2016 Honda Civic. There are only class 1, 1-1/4" options like the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C11604 which is what I recommend using. That said, you can use an adapter like the Trailer Hitch Receiver Adapter 1-1/4" to 2" part # e43YR or part # e93YR but just keep in mind, they reduce capacity so you're now limited to 100 lbs for the bikes and rack.

  • Hitch Riser For 1-1/4" Trailer Hitch Receiver To Carry a Cargo Carrier
We do have the Trailer Hitch Adapter # e93YR which will fit into a 1-1/4" hitch receiver and provides a 2" receiver that sits 5" above your receiver. They do not offer one like this with a ball mount like the Curt Multipurpose Ball Mount with 2" Receiver # D210 you found. This is due to the limited weight and clearance a 1-1/4" receiver has being mounted on smaller vehicles. We do have a 2" to 1-1/4" Reducer # e63YR if you are also using a 1-1/4" Cargo Carrier # 63155.

It features a bolt-on install without any drilling required. • Recommended 1-1/4" to 2" Adapter
Yes, there is a 1-1/4" to 2" adapter. It is the Trailer Hitch Adapter item # e93YR. This one is made specifically for accessories like bike racks. It also raises your receiver up 5" which will help with ground clearance for your bike rack. Please note that the use of any adapter will reduce your hitches capacity by 50%. The Curt Trailer Hitch item # C11831 has a 250 lbs capacity that would be reduced down to 125 lbs. You will want to make sure your bike rack and bike/s are below this.

You can only put a 1-1/4 inch hitch # C11325 on your 2008 Hyundai Sonata, but we can use something like this trailer hitch adapter # e93YR to convert your 1-1/4 hitch to a 2 inch hitch. With this adapter you will cut your weight capacity of the hitch in half since it's farther away from the original hitch tube. Make sure you do not exceed 100lbs on your rack.

  • Recommended Tallest 1-1/4" to 2" Hitch Receiver Adapter
The closest we have is our Trailer Hitch Adapter # e93YR which has a max rise of 6-1/2". Since 1-1/4" hitch receivers aren't too strong in the first place, manufacturers don't want to build adapters like this too high strictly from a safety point of view. The higher you go the more torque will be placed on the receiver and the more likelihood of something being damaged.

This rack does already have built-in shank rise so that it sits higher naturally, but when it's tilted back it's almost certain that it'll hit the ground, especially with your car being so much lower than most. • Can You Mount a Mobility Scooter Carrier on a 2018 Toyota Camry
I do have an option for you but the only trailer hitches for a 2018 Toyota Camry are class I, 1-1/4". I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C11576 which offers a bolt-on fit. The issue with this is that most mobility scooter carriers require the larger 2". Therefore, you can either use an adapter which reduces weight capacity, the Trailer Hitch Adapter part # e93YR, or you can try to search for a mobility scooter carrier which fits a 1-1/4" trailer hitch receiver.
